It’s a restaurant with a few ‘general’ merchandise items, things that can be had elsewhere nearby. The place has character; what it needs is a special reason to visit and shop other than just food, if it’s going to bill itself as a general store. The lunch was homegood, cafeteria style items. You pay before you get your plate. There was a band playing, and thank goodness they were loungey and mellow, and it made for a pleasant dining experience. I thought the greens and the cornbread were fantastic.

I have eaten here multiple times and tried several different plates! The food is awesome southern home cooking made with pride! The prices are VERY reasonable for the generous portion Pop serves you! I would defiantly recommend Pop’s Place for good southern home cooking made fresh daily!

Awesome place to eat and have a nice lunch on your lunch break or if you’re just looking for some good southern food to eat. They have a daily menu and a M-F lunch special. On Friday evenings, you can enjoy a list of specialty dinners and great entertainment when you dine in! Highly recommended place to eat!

A great place to pop in for lunch! They have daily lunch specials full of southern charm and home-cooked taste. The place feels a little big and empty with a few TVs placed about to garner your attention. Decorations include fish nets, a canoe, alligators and LSU. The burger was fine. It was a little over cooked and with all the condiments and tomatoes it quickly turned to mush and fell apart. The food and atmosphere could take some refreshing but the service is great and you can’t beat the price. Also, there is about a 20 foot rack of select grocery items if you are in a pinch and don’t mind paying for convenience.
