Staff was lovely and very accommodating! We had our dog with us and were able to dine outdoors and order from the lite fair menu. Food was very fresh. Everyone found something they liked on the menu. The only thing I wished we were aware of was the salad portion. One of us had a salad for dinner. It was delicious, but the portion was smaller than expected. If we knew, we’d just double the order.

My girl and I decided spur of the moment to go out and grab a bite on a Saturday night. We went to the Porch without reservations. I know and i know better but they welcomed us with open arms. Sat at the bar for a drink and after about 10 mins we were seated. My girl got the fried oysters and i got the scallops. WOWWWW. AMAZING. Great presentation and the food was delish. Great food, drinks and terrific service. They have some unique specials each week plus the regular menu provides plenty of delicious choices. One appetizer, smoked trout bruschetta from the regular menu is made to order and is outstanding.

Be patient. The food is made to order. It takes awhile. If you are in a hurry, don’t go. Take your time, enjoy the very impressive beer list and relax. The food is worth waiting for. I don’t think I ever left a plate cleaner than I did there.

Atmosphere is ok. Service was bad. Food was cool not warm nor hot. Duck was supposed to be medium rare but it was RARE with a broken sauce. First ones to be seated but last to receive our food. Once we got our food, I can say it was not what is listed on the menu. Another employee made a comment about the mussel and frits dish, stating that it looks like something her toddler would make. That is from an employee! I would have to agree because it’s muscles with french fries in a milk bath.

Oh my, what a FIND! If you’re looking for an elegant dining experience with first-class food and exceptional service, this IS the place. The authentic Caesar Salad is the best I’ve had in years and the crab cake with pasta was spectacular. Mom got one of the “specials,” a slow-cooked Veal Potroast that quite literally melted in your mouth, and did I mention the made-from-scratch desserts? All of this was served in style by Ruth Ann, aka “Ruthie” for an incredibly reasonable price!
