Yummy bbq place right off the highway. We were traveling through from Colorado and decided to stop. The prices were great, food was yum (pork sandwich w/hot sauce), service was fast. Thank you for the quick meal on our road trip, Porkys!

I’m disappointed at the poor response to my complaint. The response to giving me a pack of buns with MOLD was a refund of $1 and some change and saying, ” Oh it happens sometimes ’cause it’s so hot in here.” Then she preceded to say the buns are cheapest item in a family pack that costs $24, that’s why I got a refund of a dollar and change. When I sent a picture of one of the buns, she said she would refund me for that bun. Really??? What??? They clearly don’t appreciate their customers, they don’t take responsibility for their actions, and they make excuses.

If you’re looking for a fancy, upscale restaurant with excellent table service and immaculate place settings, this ain’t it. But if you want some awesome, grab ‘n go BBQ with sides, Porky’s Pit is a great option for lunch or dinner. Walk up to the window, order, pay and take your food with you!

My husband and I ordered beef, potato salad, and white beans (the sides were recommended by the very friendly lady who took our order). The food was all the correct temperature for what it was (meat and beans were hot and potato salad was cold), although the beans did need to be drained. I would recommend taking the food home instead of eating at the picnic tables, simply because the food is unseasoned/lightly seasoned and they don’t have many condiments. However, contrary to several reviews I read, I like that they don’t season/over-season the food, because it leaves room (if you take the food home) for you to season/customize each portion to your individual taste.
