I thought this would be a pasta and wine establishment but it was more like a pizza and beer joint. We ordered calamari and they tasted like fried rubber bands. I had a calzone with no artichokes because they don’t carry them. At that point I gave up and ordered a beer. What kind of Italian place doesn’t carry artichokes? The marinara was watery. The food was average. Staff was adequate. And I hate when owners intermingle languages. Bistro is a French word. Just name it Ristorante Portabella. Also, they have overhead pendant lighting with red glass shades and -you guessed it- red light bulbs. That’s why the picture looks that way and the reason the food looks unappetizing. We were passing through but will not stop here on the way back.

We ate with a party of 9 after a day of hiking in the park – it would appear that they have solved the really bad service issue with new wait staff. It was a little uneven (probably based on the size of the group and the fact one of them appeared brand new) but they were very attentive and clearly trying hard. Everyone thought it was very good food (with a fairly wide variety ordered) – the spicy chicken pasta I had was really good. Save room for the cheesecake desserts! We would eat there again.

Sunday evening at 3 pm, we were the only couple in the restaurant at this time. Waitress was very nice and did a good job. Food was fair to good. Did not like that the sandwiches etc do not include fries which they should. The fries were good along with the Gyros we ordered. We were just passing through. The country music playing was not our style and way to loud, play something to suit what you are selling,===( Italian Food ) * 3.5 Score

Food is outstanding. Authentic Italian cuisine. Service is not very good though. When you ask the server a question about what’s available, they should know. In the course of an hour, we got 3 “I don’t know” responses from our server.

Went and tried them out for the first time. Employees were friendly. The food presentation needs improvement. Ordered chicken parmesan, there was way to much sauce on the plate and it was way to watery. Needed more pasta. The chicken seemed a little over cooked, and tiny. But, it tasted good.

I loved this place. Jessica took such good care of us! Marinara has such amazing flavor. We had the seafood pasta and shrimp alfredo, both wonderful dishes. Only thing that would make it better would have been a lunch menu with cheaper prices and smaller portions.

Would rate this place a 0 stars if I could. High prices with little amounts of food. Taste is ok but the Alfredo taste like it came from a jar instead of fresh made like other Italian places. The grilled chicken was extremely over seasoned with garlic and salt. Management seemed very unconcerned about giving me the wrong food and having to wait another 15 mins for the correct food. The hostess was more concerned about talking about her personal life and kept saying “ I just want to go home”. Very unprofessional.

Service was fine as was the food but do not get the hot wings. I don’t know if it’s just the sauce that they used or if was the wings themselves but they did NOT smell good & the only word I could use to describe the odor would be infection. I noticed it midway into eating the first wing & thought it was just a passing smell at first until I unfortunately discovered that it was from the wings themselves. It was bad enough that I could neither eat any more & also turned me away from eating the rest of my food, which again, was not bad.

Very nonprofessional staff. Three servers were there; one was eating, one was on her phone, the other had her head laying down on the table. This all took place at a table at the front of the restaurant , with silverware on the table to be rolled. They was out of ranch for our wings. Our side salads had a very large amount of water in the bottom of the bowl. Tea was horrible, never got a refill on the coke that I changed it to. Our children got charged for large drinks, instead of kid ones. Food was ok, but not for the price. Had to ask for boxes. Then had to remind our server at time of paying about the 10% off sign that was outside. Don’t think we’ll be going back any time soon.
