Excellent food! They were slammed and we sat at the bar because there were no tables available. It was very busy with only one super amazing bar tender that was managing to make drinks for the whole restaurant alone and also serve 12 or more people at the bar. 3 couples including us sat pretty much at the same time around the bar and the manager squeezed in another couple bringing over a chair from out back. We waited a bit for food and drinks but it was well worth the wait. Ordered an amazing salad with salmon and ate every last bite.

Portage Tap House never disappoints! They are all friendly and the food is fantastic! The beer selection has more than enough awesome craft brews to choose from! If you are in the Rangeley Lakes area stopping here is worth your while! If you are looking for dinner during the summer, you would do well to make a reservation!

Loved the Portage Tap House. We tried several things on the menu from the daily soup to the tacos to the tortellini. They were all great. Had enough totellini for breakfast the next day. 🙂

The Portage staff are very willing to accommodate gluten-free and dairy-free meal requirements. The regular food looks and smells wonderful, and my husband and friends enjoyed the flavors immensely. The place was full, and the atmosphere crackled with conversation and energy. I highly recommend this restaurant when you are in or near Rangeley, Maine.

Great find! Cool atmosphere and decor. Menu has a nice variety of food, not extensive but something for just about everyone. 18 taps! 16 beers (hubs had tumble down red), 1 spiked seltzer and 1 hard cider ( which is what I had) thumbs up on both!
