It’s pretty good. Portillo hot dogs look different, but the strange toppings surprisingly go well together. Actually it’ll be hard to go back to a plain hot dog now that I’ve had these. The Cake Shake is superthick and a forbidden indulgence. The staff is nice and the place is clean.

I love Portillos and have been a patron for over 30 years . The location in Champaign is consistently getting worse . Tables are never clean. Staff here is not at all attentive to the clients. They have now removed all of the napkin dispensers and salt & pepper shakers – all this unnecessary waste . The portions have diminished . I love Portillos and hope that this local franchise will get their act together !

We told Judith it was our first time here and she was beyond helpful, she explained to us the different things on the menu and we all ended up getting a variety. Towards the end of our meal she came out with a few slices of cake and told us since we’ve never been we couldn’t leave without trying their famous chocolate cake. It was the sweetest, kindest first experience we could have had! Thank you Judith, you really did make our experience here memorable, AND the food was amazing so it was a win win!

I go to Portillo’s regularly. The food and service are both some of the best you’ll find for fast food in the C-U area. Recommend the Italian beef (dipped with sweet peppers), the Chicago dog, and the chili dog. The lemon cake is great, but not always available. You won’t be disappointed.
