The beefs are lacking. I used to be able to share my beef with my youngest daughter. Now I growl at her when she asks for some. I split my beefs open to let them cool andhere used to be enough beef to cover both halves. Look at the picture, not anymore. As for the staff, I’ve been going here for almost 40 years and loved the interaction with the staff. Now it seems they are just there to punch the screen and take your money. This may be the end of Portillo’s for me . I’ll give it one more try. But for the price, the quantity and quality is just not there any more.

Nice for the experience. Service was fast. Familiarize with the toppings that each food comes with. Dog was OK. Jumbo dog wasn’t so jumbo. Price was a bit steep in my opinion. Got the beef dip, polish sausage, jumbo dog, fries, cheese burger, shakes, and Greek salad (came with chicken).

Walked in and asked one of the staff if I sit or order at the counter. He asked if it’s my first time and I said yes. He then proceeded to walk me to the counter while explaining everything on the menu and mentioning which ones they were best known for. After I ordered a few of his recommendations (the hot dog, Polish sausage, fries) I waited, grabbed my food and sat down. One of the best hot dogs I’ve ever eaten and the buns were so soft. I enjoyed the toppings on the hot dog more than the onions on the sausage but they were both great and the fries were delicious too. Overall the food was very inexpensive and filled me up well. The nice staff member even came by once he saw me get up and asked how it was and what I ordered. Having somebody like that definitely puts Portillo’s as a must-return for me. The place was kept super clean as well which was nice to see!
