I wasn’t even looking for a place to eat I just had to pee so bad I was about to explode and I didn’t want to risk getting arrested for peeing in someone’s bushes in West Hartford. Why didn’t I just go before I left the therapists office?

I got the chicken Francaise a couple times and it was good. The third time it was inedible and obviously made by someone who has no idea how to cook. The chicken was covered in a coating of SCRAMBLED EGGS. I threw it in the garbage. So disappointing.

Incredible place. The food, the people, all around the best night. Nicole, our server (and potentially my new best friend?) was absolutely amazing, as was the entire staff. It felt like I was in presence of amazing friends the whole time as I ate amazing food… served in extremely generous amounts. A MUST visit!

I want to start off with the positives, the place is a cute little restaurant. I got penne al a vodka and it pretty good I liked the sauce. My negatives they did put ends of asparagus in it the pasta which was weird. They weren’t even cooked all the way and felt like an afterthought. The servers gave off a weird vibe and it made me a little uncomfortable they were nice though. We sat for a while before they even came to take our order there weren’t many people there. Then we sat for over 30 minutes after we placed our order for some pasta and a chicken dish. My mom couldn’t eat her potatoes because they weren’t even cooked all the way either. I also gave the waitress my food, they say they boxed it up in the back they didn’t even give me everything I had on my plate. It’s not a place I would go back to or recommend. I wish I felt differently.

I have visited Portobello’s several times since they opened. The food has always been excellent and the staff has been very friendly and attentive. Completion of the patio was a big plus as the inside space is limited. A great addition to the Park Road assortment of restaurants!

Portobello is truly a hidden gem. The restaurant felt cozy and comfortable with a great atmosphere and awesome service. It really felt very European. I love when the owner comes out and talks to the patrons. The food was fresh and delicious. Couldn’t ask for anything more!

I hosted my daughters Baby dedication lunch at Portobello’s. What a wonderful experience. Shaun and staff were absolutely thorough. I had a party of 20. The food came out hot and delicious. The flow of the service was great serving after serving. I highly recommend this place. The food is phenomenal, and the service is outstanding. Thank you again for a great experience!

A diamond in the rough, Portabella is a must stop if you’re looking for casual dinning with friendly service, amazing food, desserts, and authentic Italian music. We enjoyed calamari and arugula salad with lemon honey dressing to start. Our outstanding entrees included pasta, Bolognese, penne, à la vodka with asparagus, and chicken Alla Casa. We finished up with cannolis, pistachio ricotta cake, and espresso. Great portions too! Put this restaurant on your list!
