I’m from Ohio visiting for the week and we stoped in because it was dog friendly and let me tell you! This place has a 5 star dining quality; Food, drinks, staffing, the whole 9 yards! Everyone is so nice and the food is amazing! Happy hour is great time to come!

Alex and Shauna were so very helpful and accommodating to some needs we had tonight as we had our dog. The kindness and gracious consideration was so very appreciated and we will be back for sure! Customers service like this is so hard to find lately and both were above and beyond. THANK YOU, Jeff, Janice and Maverick

Wonderful experience! Cheap drinks, amazing food, great service. Vibes were great. This was one of two restaurants in Marquette we got to visit on our trip to the UP from the Lower Peninsula. We would 1000% prioritize coming back to the Portside Inn on future trips!! The bread with the garlic cream cheese dip was AMAZING and you will be thinking about it for months to come. We went in May and I’m still thinking about it in August. Overall, great experience and would recommend.

The food wasn’t too bad overall, but the service was terrible. We had a party of 8 and 1 persons food was completely burnt. After talking to staff, they did not remove it from the bill. They also got half the table fries without telling us it was an up charge. We were completely blindsided at the end of a rather average meal to have 18% automatic gratuity added. Any friends vacationing in this area, we will be sure to recommend they go anywhere else but here.

We were really excited to dine here given their incredibly high ratings on Google as well as Yelp. We read in reviews that even on weeknights you could expect to wait about a half hour to be seated do we went ahead of when we wanted to eat dinner. We waited about 40 minutes to be seated which is no problem since we expected that. Our waitress took our drink orders, then took our food orders when bringing us our drinks. We then did not see our waitress unt our food was ready, which made us unhappy as we went needing drink refills for about 30 minutes of the 40 minutes it took to get our food. We had to ask another waiter to refill our drinks which is unacceptable, especially since they had gotten less busy compared to when we were initially seated. Food all tasted great for everyone, however the portions were on the small side for our kids and a little bit for us adults too. My kids each got only 6 fries with their kids meals which is a little ridiculous. Needless to say that this was our worst dining experience out of our 2 full days in Marquette, especially considering all of the good reviews it has from multiple sources online. We will likely not return here when visiting Marquette in the future.

We really enjoyed this casual place with our dog on the patio. It’s super dog friendly and they made him a doggy burger that we fed him while we were eating. Yummy salads and nachos… Heavy on the cheeses! We also loved our Bloody Marys which are a specialty!

This place never disappoints. Always busy so be prepared to wait. Great atmosphere with friendly, efficient staff. The food is always tasty and you get it exactly how the menu describes it. Decent draft beer selection.

Let’s start by saying that the food was pretty good and not too expensive. The wait staff was…at best…lackluster. too busy talking amongst themselves about things that patrons shouldn’t hear. It was a once in a lifetime experience because we won’t be going back.

Best cream of mushroom soup ever! Plus, the breads ticks are legendary!

We stopped at the Port side for dinner, but after loading up on Shirley Temples and an order of the famous pesto breadsticks (delicious!) the kids decided they weren’t hungry anymore. Cool place with a vintage nautical theme. Service was great and friendly! They were a little busy so we took our drinks and breadsticks on the patio waiting area which was just fine for us. Too bad we didn’t get to stick around for a proper dinner, we’ll have to come back next time we’re in Marquette.
