I been a long time fan of this place. It changed owners not too long ago and it’s definitely NOT worth the visit. The menu has completely changed. Although it moonlights as the Portugese manor, in fact, the menu is not. It’s a blend of Portugese and Dominican food. Even the Portugese dishes are cooked a la “dominican” and are not Portugese. They kept the same price structure for significantly lower quality meats and service. See attached pictures. The steak came out cold, yes cold.

I ordered a takeout one week ago. Cost was $104.49. All of it went to garbage. Totally un-edible.

Was not happy with this restaurant. The food was not really authentic Portuguese food, what we did get was not appetizing. If you are looking for traditional Portuguese cuisine this is not the place. The sangria was ok. The place smelled old and musty. For the money we spent it should have been better.

One of my favorite all-time restaurants. High-quality steak and seafood dishes, and a very popular sangria. However, their other cocktails are great too though usually you see pitchers at every table. Service is top-notch; always attentive. Try the Zarzuela or Filet Mignon a Portuguesa to be blown away with flavor. Shrimp in garlic sauce appetizer is killer. Some may say decor is dated, but for me, it adds to the charm.

The owners must have changed. I was regular there when I worked in Perth Amboy. Even after I left the area, I came back a lot to eat there. Since COVID, this is my second time there, the food was not as good. The sangria and company was the best part of the evening.

This is not longer a mainly Portuguese Food restaurant. The menu is vastly scaled down on the Portuguese food and contains many Dominican dishes, like Mofongo. The Portuguese dishes we ordered were pretty good. Still, this is no longer a purely Portuguese restaurant. We had Steak (Good), Peruvian Ceviche (Good), and Fried Whole Red Snapper (Okay). Pictures have been attached to this review.

If I can leave ZERO stars…. I definitely would. This place i believe changed management and their service has gone to complete SH!T!!!!! They have these women behind the bar who dont care about providing any type of customer service, but expect to be given a tip. If you try calling your order in, dont even bother. I called 28x and when i complained, they literally laughed. This place lost a regular.
