I went to this restaurant with my friend for lunch. After we ordered our sandwiches, the staff was asking us if we want mushroom, cheese and bacon on our sandwiches. We declined bacon but ok with mushroom and cheese. Then he asked us two more times about adding bacon. I declined the offer again. I didn’t check my bill when I paid for the meal. After I got home from work, I realized they charged me bacon on both sandwiches. I called the restaurant on the same day and talked to their manager. He told me to come in so he can take care of it. He did give me the refund after I swing by 2 days later. I did enjoy their sandwiches in the past. I didn’t understand why they keep on ask you about adding bacon but they don’t tell you it is $1.60 extra for the bacon. They also automatically add onto your bill without asking. I just don’t think it is an honest practice.

Got the order wrong. Made one sandwich a skinny that should have been regular sized, and the another had the opposite issue. Did not put the requested items on one of the sandwiches and the bread was so hard and dry it hurt thed roof of my mouth. Cost too much for what we had. Small sandwiches.

Twice now this location has given me a chicken salad sandwich without any chicken. When I brought it back, they did not remake the sandwich but put the whole thing through the toaster again so it came out burnt. Potbelly has also raised its prices, so it’s not longer a particularly good deal. I’ve been a long-time Potbelly fan but will not be returning to this location.

I first went to Potbelly’s in Chicago when there was only 1 location while I was at DePaul back in the 1990’s. Having long since moved back to St. Louis I would still think of that sub shop. I stumbled on it in Clayton recently and was thrilled that it is back in my orbit. Still great toasted subs.
