It was definitely a different style of mexican cuisine I was not accustomed to. Very delicious. Service was excellent, very attentive, despite a minor language barrier on my part.

I guess we don’t like Guerrero style food. The beef tostada was cold, and we were told it was supposed to be that way. Nothing with red sauce, although there was some red sauce in squeeze bottles on the table. We also prefer red pozole, although the white was good. Chicken enchilada was good, but again prefer red.

Delicious. The pozole is amazing and the combination plates give you a couple different flavors when you can’t make up your mind. It’s all got that good home made flavor and their red salsa is fire! If you’ve had it you know what I’m talking about, if you haven’t then you should. You can also call ahead and pick up. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

NEW REVIEW 5/3/2020: We recently ordered food from Pozoleria Doña Maria during the pandemic lock down. We simply called it in while at the business parking lot and after a short 15 minute wait we got the food. The food was delicious as always and containers were of very good quality. We eat in the car and don’t need the container to be low quality and break spilling all the food on my lap as it happened once while visiting a different business. We are happy to support our local businesses and will be back soon.

I really wanted to like this place because I am from Guerrero. Let me start off by saying the customer service was really good which is always huge in my book. Unfortunately, the pozole tasted like salt water and no amount of oregano and chili gave it any real flavor. I tries the botana plate which is pork cracklings, cheese, and avocado pretty straight forward. The horchata was really good. I won’t be back though because obviously it’s the pozole that counts most.

I am writing this review about my take-out order on March 7, 2023. I ordered 2 plates of the beef sopes. I called ahead so I could just pick up my order. The last time I ordered from here was about 6 months ago.

This place, known for its pozole, definitely tasted watered down.

FYI before you go in and order the Pozole- Its a white pozole w/ mixture of cow tongue & brain with shredded pork. Not what I expected, didnt like and cubes of tongue were cold when I bit thru it.
