Had dinner here last night on our way home to Virginia and it was delightful. The salmon tacos are an interesting combo who’s flavors all blend together perfectly. My husband had the Prairie meatballs and thought the whole dish was delicious, but the sauce was the star. Our waitress was charming and helpful. Great experience.

If you are ever in Elk CIty OK – eat here! What a delightful place – and food. We had the Grilled Salmon Salad which was very good and beautifully presented, and the Chicken Fried Steak which was a perfect example of the dish. Service was really nice – this Mom and Daughter do a fantastic job with this lovely little old train station. Best place to eat in Elk City for sure!

This is the spot to be! What an incredible experience we had, the owners know what they are doing! From the different drinks they offer, to the appetizer and menu selections, if you want a wonderful meal, you have got to give this place a try! We had a few appetizers, the filet, a bone-in ribeye, steaks seasoned & cooked to perfection. And make sure to get the chocolate tower cake, it may be the best chocolate cake I’ve ever had!!!! Clean restaurant, Exceptional service, can’t wait to come back for a visit after they finish the patio!

Wow. I mean WOW. As a small town cafe owner myself, I fully appreciate the hard work these folks have put into Prairie Fire. The prairie basket appetizer (fried green tomato on a fried goat cheese slice topped with pork belly and raspberry jalapeño glaze) is one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Burger and fries are spot on. Cold Shiner. Historic building. I’m in love and will be back.

First time eating here and again, what have I been thinking?!? I called in a takeout order and the lady who answered the phone was so polite & helpful it made me anticipate the meal, and that definitely was not lacking!! I ordered the shrimp & scallops on linguine and it was awesome! I also had fried green tomatoes and was surprised since I know getting those fresh this time of the season is a definite impossibility but omg they were so good! HIGHLY suggest anyone who hasn’t been here to definitely make it a must soon!!

Hands down best salmon I’ve ever had! Perfectly grilled and seasoned! Food is phenomenal! Waitress was fine, could use a little more experience with people and personality. But she was attentive and polite, and prompt. Will absolutely be back!

Great dinner and great cocktail list. My husband and I started with the fried goat cheese. Very tasty. Lightly breaded and done well. He had the salmon, and I had the shrimp and scallops. They are both very good. I had the mac and cheese side which was absolutely wonderful, as well as Fried Green Tomatoes. He had the brussel sprouts side which he felt was a little overcooked. His Fried Green Tomatoes were excellent as well, but were very temperature hot when they arrived at the table, so make sure to let them cool off a bit before trying them or you might burn your tongue. The dessert list was full of yummy sounding items but we were too full. A really cool vibe. Would definitely come again! The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing. Pro tip: they’re going to card everybody at the table. It’s required by law. Don’t give them a hard time. I did, and I feel bad now.
