The decors of the restaurant is modern, warm and inviting. The patio area has a nice view of the Capitol and with the right weather, it is a great spot to be. They have a full bar with knowledgeable bartenders. I asked for a cocktail outside the list and the result was super tasty. The appetizers and food were amazing. The chicken was super flavorful with great seasoning and compliments. Same with the lamp. The polenta is perhaps one of the best I have had. Super creamy! The service was spectacular from the moment we arrived. Everything was capped with a great dessert of a lemon sorbet and a macadamia cookie. Victoria was awesome and took great care of us. Overall, a great experience. I will definitely be going back.

Stopped in here because I was staying at a nearby hotel. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The ribeye I ordered was fantastic and so were the scallops. The bartender offered some local knowledge on other spots to visit while in the area. Highly recommend.

I made a last minute reservation and was pleasantly surprised. Our food was supreme! Our waitress Savannah made recommendations for our drinks and they were on point. Excellent service. My husband and I ordered seafood bisque and it was the best I ever tasted. He had the short rib and I had the ribeye and again, best I’ve EVER tasted. As if that wasn’t enough. We went on to try the chocolate cake and vanilla gelato which were superb.

The food is really well executed and the menu changes seasonally. They put a lot of thoughts in their menu to create an elevated experience. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection! Service is great, you can feel that this is a more upscale restaurant but they don’t overdo it.

What a fantastic restaurant and great find! The staff is so nice, friendly, and helpful from the manager, the bartender, server, and even the bus boy – all excellent! The food is also fantastic. Great appetizers, salads, and entrees. Pork chop could be the best I’ve had in a couple years… And the atmosphere is really classic… white walls and lots of wainscoting throughout. We are looking forward to the summertime when we can sit on the patio and have a full view of the capital building. Give this place a try, you won’t be disappointed.

If you grew up around Sacramento, you may remember this space when it used to be Chops, followed by a nightclub. It’s now Prelude and let me tell you that it’s all the hype! From the food presentation to the service, it’s superb. There were five of us ladies dining together for dinner. We had 8pm reservations on a week night. They close at 9pm, yet we were never rushed even when we tried to order in a hurry. Our server was so gracious and sweet. We shared the focaccia bread, roasted brussels sprouts, burrata salad, caesar salad, pork chop, short ribs, and rigatoni bolognese. Everything was delicious. Our fav were the burrata salad and pork chop. Do give it a try.

Reservation thru OpenTable works smoothly. The Ribeye medium rare cooked and salmon medium cooked was great! Not used to the other dishes but great appearance of the place for special occasion and the interior was clean. Can be loud and can be quiet the environment depending on busy hours. Parked at the garage nearby and it was $15.
