Flew into STL late and entered the restaurant at around 9:40. Waiter told us that the menu was limited due to the cooks getting ready to turn the burners off. The waitress asked if they could make the stuffed Salmon and Lamb Chops and they agreed. The food was amazing and we were so grateful for them accommodating us. I will definitely be back!!

The service from the time we walked in til the time we left was fantastic! We will definitely return. The lamb chops were so delicious with an amazing sauce! The stuffed salmon was great, cooked to perfection! Our waiter, Darby is good at what he does and he can sing, beautiful voice. Today is our anniversary and we decided to go there because we hadn’t been and it was a great decision. S/O to everyone that was working tonight, you all was wonderful, thanks for a great ending to our 1 year anniversary!

On June 17, 2023 I Finally got a chance to dine at Prime 55 in the Delmar loop. While the sweet glazed lamb chops hit the mark the rest of the meal fell flat. The potatoes and steamed broccoli vegetables melody lacked any flavor. In fact the vegetables were barely warm. The decor and service was simply terrible. There was no bread which is something you might expect at a restaurant advertising itself as a fine dinning establishment. The server’s attire was not becoming and to further diminish the reputation of this restaurant was the 4% charge if you used your debit or credit card. Then there was the 20% gratuity for a party of four. The place was very small. No salt or pepper on the wobbly table. I do not know how this location compares to the downtown location but if this location carry the name Prime 55 it is a very poor representation. I do not recommend this location to anyone. Lastly the manager’s handling of our bill was totally unprofessional. The server who was in training did not charge the mandatory 20% gratuity initially. Instead of absorbing the mistake she confronted us which ruin any possibility of an enjoyable experience.

It’s important not to be hypercritical of black owned restaurants (especially our own come on fam!) The food here is absolutely delicious. The service could use a few improvements but all restaurants are suffering from staffing shortages right now. The steak I had was one of the best I’ve had in a restaurant, the atmosphere was cozy and the (overworked!) staff still had a smile on their faces. I will return and I will recommend.

I took my Father to the Delmar location this past Saturday for Father’s Day. After seeing pictures and hearing about the place I thought we were in for a treat. Well after finally getting a chance to eat there I can say it did not meet up to the hype and would not recommend that location.

This place is great for a date night! Food wise the what I have ordered from them has been phenomenal every time. If you like lobster or trying it out you have to get the Lobster fries! Also if you love salmon I suggest getting the chili glazed Salmon or the stuffed salmon. Both are really good but my favorite out of the two is the chili glazed salmon.
