I chose Primo to celebrate my birthday since I’ve always had a good experience here. Unfortunately it wasn’t the same this particular day I ordered the pork steak which had the most incredible seasoning and it was a chef special so you don’t really see it too often on the menu but unfortunately, the cut of meat fell short. It was 70% fat and bone, with 30% being edible. Such a tease. The squid pasta is great and the antipasto appetizer is the best nearby. I didn’t like the chocolate cake with olive oil because the flavor of the oil overpowered the cake. And unfortunately the cream curdled in my coffee but the waitress replaced it quickly. Overall it wasn’t a great birthday meal for me. But, it was likely a fluke because everything else was incredible and I’m looking forward to giving the pork steak again because the seasoning was memorable! I’m craving it.

Management and ownership often rude and disrespectful attitudes towards employees and customers. Too many loopholes no sense of direction nobody on the same page! Lots of favoritism and nepotism with workers and managers. Ignorance and arrogance displays types of working environment. Doing tenure on job from dishwasher to food prep to working line stations parties didn’t appreciate anything that was done but took advantage of those hard working employees. No leadership lack of discipline or accountability and responsibility at all from managers and chefs. Clueless overall in what it takes to lead by example or setting good examples! If you have more knowledge or stronger work ethics than managers or bosses you are a target. Revolving doors with high employee turnover. Overall tenure at Primo restaurant it was a very toxic workplace. And despite being treated like garbage by bosses/chefs/management I did one’s best to ensure customers/guests received the best quality of foods that I prepared and cooked. It’s quite sickening how badly the restaurant and hospitality industries continues to crumble and collapse day by day.

Confused by the poor reviews, went with a group of friends on a Tuesday evening and had a wonderful experience. I cook frequently and I’m very critical of food (when the price is high, I want to make sure I get what I’m paying for) and I thought my dish, branzino special, was outstanding. The hot and dirty martinis were to die for. Oysters fresh. Everyone there loved their dish. The service was great, waitress very attentive. We even got some cheese and prosciutto compliments of the chef. The prices are high for us so while we wouldn’t go back regularly, we will absolutely be returning for special occasions.

I love the modern mix aesthetics of this waterfront restaurant. My first time for dinner was a good experience, it would have been even better if we could have sat outside but since we were in a time crunch we couldn’t wait the almost half an hour table for two wait. I have to say it is smaller inside than it looks like from the outside. There is an inside and outdoors bar, always a plus! Needless to say the inside bar was empty compared to outdoors. The bathrooms are brigh, large and clean and including a unisex bathroom. We had two appetizers both on point specifically the lobster roll, it was very good. I enjoyed the Mediterranean chicken the mixture of flavor was very refreshing. For the Main course if you are hungry definitely go for the veal, OMG!!!! Three people could share all that veal, of course we had to bring more than half home and even the next day it was still as flavorful as the first day. I really enjoyed the salmon with the Newburgh sauce (I had no leftovers to take home). Finally, we had lemon cheesecake was also very good. Overall a perfect place to hangout, go out on a day or just a family outing.

My husband and I went to Primo tonight, it was our second time here and it was delicious. The ambiance is intimate and beautiful – it feels like you’re in NYC. We made a reservation online and the hostess sat us immediately. Our server was attentive and helpful when picking what to order. We started with the mussels and shrimp cocktail – SO good! Our entrees were out of this world. I would go back just for my pasta dish. Looking forward to going back.

I couldn’t wait any longer to leave this review. Still sitting here and this whole dining experience was one of the best I have ever had. My partner and I came here for our anniversary dinner and do not have one regret. Our server Phil(Philip?-i apologize for forgetting) was super accommodating, attentive, and kind. The drinks were amazing. We had the 36 Chambers and the Winter Sangria which absolutely took us out of this world. We ordered the salmon and steak for dinner and the steak was made exactly as we requested! The salmon with the sauce was absolutely breath taking! We got a complimentary dessert for our anniversary which was super nice of them! I’m definitely coming back more often and might just make this our new spot. I wish the scale was bigger than 10 because this place deserves a 1000000/10.

Wonder day at brunch. Sat outdoors and it was relaxing enough you almost felt you were away. Good drinks and for what we had to eat it was pretty good.

My first experience at Primos exceeded all of my expectations. I would describe it as fine dining meets rustic Italian. The service was excellent & the food came out fast and was incredibly delicious. Then, we can’t forget about the amazing view from the patio. Definitely check this place out, I can’t wait to come back!

Kind servers, beautiful modern restaurant with stunning views, and good food. We ordered the baked clams and mussels which were salty, garlicky, and buttery. Very good. We also ordered the smoked salmon dip. It was sorta like Smokey canned tuna. It was weirdly addicting but I wouldn’t order again. The strawberry and goat cheese salad was very refreshing with an almost burnt orange vinaigrette. For the entree, we ordered the PRIMO CIOPPINO, but it was not worth the $55. The tomato sauce did not compliment the seafood and honestly took away from the delicate sweetness of the seafood. Would order it with a scampi style sauce next time. Will be back.

The food was superb & service was top notch. My husband and I are foodies & love to try new places; my standards are a little high since I also have worked in fine dining restaurants. Primo Waterfront met and even exceeded our expectations. From high quality fish dishes to well balanced cocktails and finally flavorful Italian style entrees, everything was to die for! The level of service by staff was better than anything we’ve had in a long while. We already are planning our next visit!
