The best Mexican food in town. We ordered the veggie taco, Camarones and mango loco. Food was delicious, the grilled shrimp was perfectly cooked and marinated. The margarita wasn’t strong, but loved the mango purée. However, the service was really slow this was the case with every table I think due to lack of staff. Server was friendly. There is a public parking lot next to this restaurant.

my family and i have come here a handful of times and have never left disappointed. drinks are always good (minus two times ago where i pitcher didn’t really taste like it had much tequila), food is always great, and the customer service makes this place. specifically, eddie, he has not once let us down. even when he’s not our server, he’ll come over to say hi and talk with us. he’s given us the best customer service we have ever experienced. being in the service industry myself, that’s something i really appreciate. this place is great in every aspect and i recommend it to everyone!

Overall, the food is tasty. The sauces are flavorful and the portion sizes are quite large. Was happy with the experience and the amount of options for vegetarians. I would be interested to return for lunch or dinner and see what other meals are like! Good location for people in downtown Evanston. Just need to find parking.

We booked Primos Locos for our wedding/reception and it was an amazing experience! The servers, bartenders and manager were very accommodating and attentive. The space was able to seat all 100 of our guests along with space for the DJ, welcome table, buffet and dessert table and yet enough room for our arch and dance floor. It was fabulous!

Not happy with the visit, everything was over cooked or burnt. I couldn’t/would’t even feed my son the chicken tenders. I ordered the Carne asada cooked medium came out well done and didn’t have any flavor.

Sat on the patio for lunch on a gorgeous day. Service was quick, attentive, but not overbearing. I had their salad with chicken, which was a large portion. Liked it enough to try it again for their tacos. We also had one each of their tamales (chicken and pork, both with the “green” sauce). It was a split decision, but we definitely plan on trying them again with the red.

I’d passed this place a million times, but just moved to the area and wanted to give it a try. I was not disappointed. The shrimp and carne loco tacos were PHENOMENAL. And they already have me excited to try out the brunch menu. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Primos Locos is a nicer, upscale Mexican restaurant. I’ve never been disappointed with any food or drinks. The carnitas tacos are succulent and whatever sauce is on them is amazing with the pink onions. Pork tamales are my 2nd choice and the red sauce is flavorful and not too spicy. All cocktails are on point. Even if you don’t like tequila, you’ll find something you like here. My go-to is the cantarito . There are a few Mexican beers on tap that you don’t commonly see so try those out too.

My husband and I went out to dinner here after we moved our daughter into Elmhurst University. The atmosphere was fun and modern. The food was fresh and delicious and the service was excellent.
