This place is a great family-run business. The chicken is really good, the whiting fish fillets are very clean and healthy, lightly seasoned cornbread batter tastes great with no tartar sauce or anything added. Yellow rice as a side a nice choice over fries. Don’t know how anybody could give this place a one-star review unless they’re just missing golden skillet.

I visited on a Friday around 5pm. The restaurant is a carry out only fast food style chicken place. I ordered chicken strips, macaroni and cheese, a slice of velvet cake, and a Dr. Pepper. The order was delivered quick. The strips were crispy and pretty good. The macaroni and cheese was average as was the cake. Total bill was just over $10. Overall, I was please. Be sure you are keeping in mind that this is a fast food style restaurant, so keep your expectations in that vein. I’d come here over many (probably most) fast food restaurants in the area for a chicken strip meal.

Their fried chicken is as good as my Grandma’s fried chicken. Collard greens and mac and cheese are AMAZING! Shrimp basket was a big hit and the pies are so good. My new go to since Moseberth’s Chicken closed. This is no fast food chicken. ♥️

One star is all this place deserves. The one star is fir the speedy and friendly service. The chicken wings are small, the gizzards taste boiled, the rice was mushy. None of the food has any salt or seasoning. All the food is bland. They give you extra ketchup and hot sauce for a reason. I would never eat here again.

I’m not sure where all the wonderful reviews are coming from but I drove from Grassfield in Chesapeake to get Prince’s fried chicken because the reviews were wonderful. The wrong. I got a 10 piece fried chicken that tasted like gas food fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy that had a very strange taste to it, mac and cheese that was horrible and 4 Kings Hawiann rolls plus “fresh, sweet watermelon” that had absolutely no flavor. I’d give them less stars if I could.

First time, and babyyyyy … we found a new spot for the fried whole wings. Sooooooo good. Fresh, fried to perfection! And you can’t beat 21 WHOLE wings for $30. You spend $30 for 10 party wings and fries other places. Wings are the perfect size too!!!! Fyyyyyyeeeee!!! Will be ordering from here on out! So so good!

Amazing customer service! My mom and I went last night it was our first time trying them and it was 10 minutes to closing but they made us fresh chicken with no hesitation! We even went back today to try some different menu item and still such great customer service and cook to order food! You all definitely have me as a long term customer!!! And the food is sooooooo delicious:)
