The experience of this food was amazing. We went on a Thursday evening and the atmosphere was super laid back. Our waitress was aware of my wife’s gluten allergy and the smaller menu meant we didn’t have to look too hard to figure out what we could and couldn’t have.

Most impressive experience I had while in town for the weekend. The staff is a well-oiled machine that does great working together and it shows. The hostess handled the business very well and also kept the tables turned and ready for the next sitting while the servers did what they needed to for their tables. There was not a point where we didn’t have someone checking on us or offering to clean the table when needed. I appreciate natural wine, and the selection of natural wine they have is refreshing. All the food was terrific, drinks were terrific, and the service was terrific. Kudos Progress.

First timer here. I and my accomplice went on a Sunday. It wasn’t very busy and we got seated very quickly. We got our drinks ordered and got some time to look over the menu. I ordered pineapple ginger mock tail. I looked over the menu and saw biscuits and gravy, that was it. I LOVE biscuits and gravy! Our foods came in a timely manner. My food looks very presentable in the bowl. I took a bit of my food and it sent my taste buds to a flavor dimension. This is most likely the second delicious biscuits and gravy I’ve tasted. Although it was a small brunch meal, I enjoyed it very much. My meal plus drink were chef kiss. The atmosphere of the restaurant is calming. The aesthetics is quite pleasing and beautiful. Customer service was great. Overall a 10/10.

I’m not a huge fan of doing online reviews of places, but for this restaurant I feel it’s necessary. The experience at this restaurant isn’t just about the food. It’s about the environment, the dynamic, the food, and the adventure you go on with the group you’re with.

Went for birthday brunch. We were rushed and reminded at least four times they close at 2. We got there around 1:00. The donut holes were ordered. One of our parties were running late and showed around 1:25. We ordered and had A LOT of mimosas over the course of the meal. And again we’re reminded they close at 2. The food was mediocre at best. The portions were super small. Our brunch bowl $13 was maybe half full and smaller than an 6” dinner salad. The only entree that looked reasonably filling was the biscuits and gravy $8. It was mentioned a couple of times it was a birthday and no acknowledgment was given. Not even a happy birthday. BUT we did get that they close at 2.

BEST dining experience I’ve had in Springfield. I’ve gone there for dinner twice, each time I tried a new appetizer, coffee, cocktail, salad, and dessert (I had their Peace Valley Chicken both times because it’s just TOO good). Their food genuinely amazes me and the price is 100% worth it. All the tables are spread out, it’s not overly loud, and the environment is clean and cozy. The service was excellent too, super friendly people!

Incredibly delicious! It’s great to see a tapas style fine dining experience in Springfield. Love being able to try half the menu with my spouse in a single visit and still be surprised when the next seasonal menu comes out. If you are looking for one of the best restaurants in Springfield and some modern gastronomy, look no further.

We visited Progress for the first time for Valentine’s dinner & the menu was amazing! Being our 1st visit, we weren’t sure quite what to expect but the ambiance was nice, quiet & chill. The staff are incredibly friendly & were very attentive. The food was AMAZING! And the live music playing that night was very pleasant too – not overpowering & had some surprising song choices.

Disappointing food at an very expensive price and tiny portion. I understand the service is great and the environment is fancy, however, the portion and price should be reasonable, I don’t mind you charge a even higher price If the food is right. I paid $45+ for a steak and asked for medium rare, but they over cooked it to medium well. This is just not acceptable. The steak was cut at the kitchen, which means the chef, the waiter both saw that the steak was not medium rare, however they just continued to serve it. This is definitely not the quality I’m expecting. The sauce they used they claimed is Asian chili crisp, but unfortunately I buy Asian groceries too so I can taste that’s store bought Asian chili sauce that’s packed with MSG.

This is a place for food nerds. Small plates to share, individual servings to enjoy on your own, or the Taste of Progress, a 6 course tasting of the staff’s favorite seasonal dishes. Dress up, or dress down, the food is what you’ll be looking at. Reverie, the bar on the roof offers skillfully crafted mixed drinks, seasonally rotated, and an impressive list of straight liquors to enjoy before or after your meal downstairs. The French style gnocchi is wonderful (imagine the love child of potato gnocchi and a donut). The carrots on carrots brings out more flavors hidden in the humble root than you knew existed, with a French curry carrot puree underneath trying to steal the show. It just gets better from there. The wine pairings are spot-on, courtesy of Michael, the owner-sommelier, and Jersey the bartender. Finish off with the chocolate parfait paired with an old bourbon for a real treat.
