Just meet friends for a drink around 8:30 on a Friday. Stood at the bar for an hour and then the place started to clear out and we sat at a high top in the bar. Servers were super nice and knowledgeable. Happy staff which is nice to see. Drinks were delicious and the atmosphere gives a vibe with its black walls and floors. Totally worth checking out and I will be back for dinner!

We really enjoyed proof no. 5. The food was outstanding! The servers are very good and super friendly! Drinks were great. We had the bison meatballs, Lobster linguine and the lamb chops. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. The sliding glass doors open up to the front sidewalk which is absolutely lovely. A much needed option for Wheaton diners. Highly recommend it.

Proof no 5 had only been open a month when we made reservations. This is an excellent dining experience in Wheaton, IL bringing a Chicago level culinary quality to the suburbs. They offer a variety of delicious cocktails (according to my wife) and beer (for me). We started with the bread & butter appetizer which cost $9. I think it’s strange that they charge for this, especially because it was good bread but nothing fancy. The entrees however we’re very good. My wife had the lobster linguine ($42) which was amazing. Subtle flavors with a pronounced buttery zen that melted in our mouths. I ordered the 14 oz New York Strip ($62) and like rare steaks. Only the best restaurants can accomplish a rare steak to perfection and my steak was perfect. A side of the Yukon mashed potatoes complemented both the steak and linguine. The atmosphere has a city vibe that’s both fun and classy. I highly recommend Proof No5 in Wheaton and we’ll be back soon for an encore.

We only managed an appetizer and a drink, but I plan to come back for dinner as soon as I can. The hostess was friendly and knowledgeable, the bartender was attentive and served a decent old-fashioned. But really struck me was the comfort, vibe, and beauty of the place. It was open to the street, but cool and shady towards the back. The art on the walls was beautiful, the barstools were comfy. when you looked around the room, everyone there seemed happy to be there and enjoying their meals. We only got to try drinks and an appetizer but I can’t wait to come back for dinner.

The Bourbon Belly crew has definitely stepped it up several notches with their latest endeavor. Get ready for a fine dining experience. With every plate made from scratch with fresh ingredients, don’t expect to rush through your meal. Enjoy every mouthful! The only similarities between this and their other restaurants is the staff. I wish I could learn their secret for finding great people! I promise you a great dinner!

We had a lovely dinner. This place is fun and really cool inside. The giant door that opens is great during nice weather. The service was great, and our server was really accommodating of my crazy dietary restrictions. The only reason I didn’t rate food a 5 was little things: The menu is kinda limited and the menu does not say that the fries are seasoned. They are, and the seasoning is far too strong.
