I was immediately drawn to this place because of the historic look of the outside. I was originally a little nervous of the small menu, but sometimes the best places know exactly what makes them good and they don’t need a huge menu. The menu is classic to the town and they do it well. I got the brat, yet simple, it was delicious and packed with flavor. The inside is full on in the past and that makes it so interesting to look at and completes the experience. The prices are even better and the full bar menu is great as well. Very happy I chose to come here.

We came for the build your own Bloody Marys. Good selection of additions. The bar itself was old and famous to look at.

Fun little WI bar to visit. Good service. Beautiful wooden old bar to sit at and full of old history. Check out the dollar bills on the high ceiling. Nice family friendly bar/grill to meet up with friends.

Staff was nice. Everything else was subpar at best. I’d suggest just not serving food if you adamantly admit that food isn’t your top priority. Not everyone wants to drink alcohol and sit around. Might be the place for some, but not me.

Yogi was a wonderful waitress. She told us of several places to visit in New Glarus and Green County. The brats were fantastic. I loved the cheese curds….and the New Glarus beer. Very neat atmosphere.

Cute bar offering drinks and food in a very quaint town. Loved the bread bowl soup! They have many delicious items like cheese curds as well for a great reasonable price. Service was super friendly.

Got a italian beef and also cheese curds. The Italian beef was deli roast beef somehow warmed up. Every slice had grizzled 1/2″ to 3/4″ wide the whole length of every slice (4 to 5″ long). Got cheese curds – they were chunks of cheese warmed up somehow. Got a bag of chips. Other than the chips, food was not good.

Excellent old style bar with a great selection (obviously) of New Glarus beer. Bar tenders are super friendly and knowledgeable of the beers and town. Great sandwiches, soups, and brats. Exactly what you want from a small town Wisconsin bar. Also, owner is the best and will treat you to cool stories and a fun way to donate to charity (1 dollar or more if you choose).

This is an interesting bar with beautiful painted wall murals and a unique history. Friendly people. Dog friendly patio (our waitress even brought a special treat for our pup). Only downfall is a limited food menu.
