Delicious nachos and fun decorations ! I love the deign of the furniture.. the tables and chairs are art! They also have 30 margarita flavors & happy hour on tues and wed. This place is a local gem. Highly recommend . Good service too.

Puerta Mexicana is a tiny but super cute neighborhood joint with a friendly staff, fair prices and good portions. Most importantly I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE FOOD!!! I usually order pretty much once a week and they are hands down the BEST restaurant in East Rockaway and make some of the best Mexican food on Long Island. My go to items are the chorizo quesadilla, chicken, pork, chorizo or mushroom tacos, enchiladas mole, and the tostadas. They have great guacamole, salsas and vegetarian options as well. Definitely a great spot for the authentic Mexican food lover!

When we arrived home we were missing one of the steak tacos we ordered. Plus the one that we received was not steak taco but chicken. Also the steak platter had no taste. Seating was absent. We threw it out. I will never go back to this restaurant again.

First time to eat in this Mexican restaurant. I should say this is the most clean and nice I’ve been. The decoration is colorful and inviting. The vibes is very calm, peaceful and romantic. The food is delicious. We order tacos, chicken bowl, tostadas, sopes and elote all flavorful. For drinks we got Horchata & Tamarindo its not too sweet its refreshing. For dessert we got Tres leches which I don’t usually order coz most places have it too sweet but this place just put it together just right. The staffs are friendly and they have parking outside. Definitely will come back here when we go to Long Island NY again.

my favorite restaurant. Hands down, best Mexican food around. It’s hard to find good, “authentic” Mexican food on Long Island and Puerta is by far one of the best places around. The tacos, tortas, flautas – it’s all to die for and I love it so much. Service is 10/10 as well!

Loved this place. It is authentic Mexican food and reminded me of dinners in Mexico with my friends. Try the Queso Fundido! Highly recommend this place! And don’t forget to order dessert, the Tres Leche is the best I have ever had and the Flan is my daughter’s favorite
