Very uneven. Some dishes good some poor.. 1 pizza bland, 1 burned. who would serve a burned pizza? Pasta special very good Pizza special ho hum. Service very good. 2 pastas, 2 pizzas, 1 antipasta, 1 salad, with a bottle of wine and 2 beers and 1 dessert. ÷ tip $215. Reasonable if the pizzas had been better. Maybe a new pizza cook? It didn’t live up to our last experience, the pizza missed the mark.

Overall a great experience. Pork ossobuco was amazing. I’m taking off two stars for the rude hostess. Even if she was having a bad day, I’ve never had such a poor first encounter with restaurant staff. Arrive to the restaurant for our 8:30 reservation and nobody is at the host stand. Not a big deal, I headed to the restroom. Come back to the front and was informed that my reservation was cancelled because I didn’t pick up the phone when they called to see if I was coming. Mind you, I was in the establishment when they called and the place was half empty. The hostess continued to give me an attitude as I asked to be seated. Management should really evaluate this person. Everyone else we spoke with was great.

I had (can’t remember the name) chicken with mushrooms and sausage. The chicken was HORRIBLY DRY and tough. I thought, maybe it was the the first couple of pieces but, it was the whole dish. My girlfriend’s pasta was good. The pizza looked good but, I won’t go back.

A great spot for authentic Italian food, especially if you love pizza. The menu is very impressive with options for virtually everyone. And the wood burning pizza oven was the star of the show. The next time I visit here I’ll ask to be seated at the counter next to the pizza oven; probably the best seats in the house. The service was excellent and the overall ambience was very nice. Highly recommend this spot whenever you’re in the area.

I called in to order takeout. The lady on the phone was very friendly and didn’t rush me even though I could hear in the background that they were very busy.

The pizza was really good and just enough for my wife and I to share without having to take slices home. It’s a smaller place but it has a good atmosphere. We ate at the bar so we could watch March Madness and the service was solid. It’s definitely worth a shot if you are in the area!

Best pizza, and pasta in La Playa, in Point Loma. Casual, and great ambience. There’s seating right by the pizza oven so you can see it being made. Great selection of wine, and wonderful service ☺️

Great pizza, pizza edges were burned, but I didn’t mind. Inside needs to serious cleaning. We sat down next to the wall; we saw pizza pieces and dust everywhere. We sat down at the table, and it wasn’t clean, and we had to call our host. Service pretty slow; it wasn’t busy. They’re friendly but slow service and dirty place, good food. Price is not really cheap.

Awesome service with a short staff. Went out of their way to be friendly and be attentive to our family. And the pizza is outstanding!

Nothing beats a Sunday dinner with the family. I’d say the place is toddler friendly because there is no loud music playing in the background that would over-stimulate my toddler. She loves their pasta.
