Pumphouse is a fast casual barbecue restaurant specializing in Texas style barbecue infused with other regional flavors from the southeast. Barbecue is rich in southern tradition and it’s one we honor with our food and recipes. Traditional wood smoked mains and sides are the foundation of the menu but are accompanied by more modern and expressive dishes and sandwiches. We believe the combination of traditional and modern offers a unique dining experience for barbecue lovers of all backgrounds.
Pumphouse gets its namesake from the location where we are opening our doors. The building is co-located next to the original gas station of Ormond Beach, and we are proud to bring a little bit of Ormond’s history back to life!
Based on 256 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.5 stars. Price $$

One of our absolute favorite restaurants in Ormond Beach. Consistent quality, brisket and pulled pork to die for with some unique sides. Always willing to customize for you and the staff are always friendly. We have taken all of our friends and family with not one person disappointed. Thoroughly happy that this BBQ joint is part of our little town!! Our only recommendation would be the need for better napkins because the food can be gloriously messy.

For the last several months we have wanted to stop in to try this place and this past weekend we finally did. We were not disappointed!! As we approached the door, we were met by one of the employees, who held the door open and greeted us with a smile and a hello.

Awesome stop for some delicious BBQ. One of my favorite foods and they do it good here. I was impressed by the brisket the most but the ribs are close companions. As well as the pulled pork. Everything wins here. Even the sides. The decor and style of this place is very inviting.

You should go! Nice bbq place in an old previous gas station. Lots of charm. Great brisket. Sides are great, had the sweet potato casserole and the bbq beans. The beans were not at all what I expected. Get them and get some cornbread to break up and throw in. Fantastic! Sweet potato casserole was also a pleasant surprise. Not all sugary sweet, just a good solid Sweet potato recipe. The collard greens were also not what I expected. I can’t put my finger on why but I didn’t like them. All of their sauces are pretty different, too. They have a little bar with local brews on tap, as well.

We spent 5 days in Daytona and this is the only restaurant that we went to, that we would go back to again. Cute atmosphere and yummy food. The pretzel appetizer is easily sharable. I think we could have split it with 3 or 4 and been fine. We got the Brisket sampler and it was a lot of yummy food for two. Happy to have leftovers for lunch the next day.

A fantastic addition to the OB community! This BBQ joint is conveniently located and close to many other dining options. It’s new construction with lovely architecture and landscaping. The food and service were equally as impressive. Aside from the food they provide a wide selection of beer including local offerings of fine craft suds. The dining area was clean, well organized, and even had a little pub with a few bar stools. Our meal was amazingly and the service was professional and friendly. We were lucky to meet “The Squatch” who was super knowledgeable about BBQ, suds, and excellent salesmen. If your looking for a casual dining this should be at the top of your list. The community is lucky not only to have access to these varied dining options but also for the people willing to invest our little beach town!

This is a nice addition to downtown Ormond Beach. I stopped in for an early lunch, and for the most part it was a positive experience. Overall the BBQ is good and most of the staff is friendly and attentive. I got there early, and unintentionally I was able to see them setting up the food line. The brisket looked and tasted really good. I had a combo plate with brisket and pulled pork and 2 sides. I got the pasta salad and potato salad. Both cold sides were left over from I’m guessing the day before. They were okay, but clearly not fresh. It’s a cafeteria style establishment with full service prices. I’ll go back, and I look forward to a return visit, but I think I’ll get one of their sandwiches which looked great and we’re more reasonable in price. Go try it and see for yourself!

First time visitor looking for my new BBQ spot after moving to the area. Started simple with the Brisket sandwich combo with coleslaw and found it REALLY good!. Slaw was tasty, not too sweet, and brisket was nice and warm on a soft bun. 4-5 Sauces were on the side, so you can try a bunch. Will return soon as the prices were fair, and selections (including Roast chicken, and a bunch of southern sides) are also on the menu. AND BURNT ENDS are also available.
