Food was exceptional, but the service was poor. We came today (July 23, 2023) and literally we walked ourselves to the table. No one says if we need something for drink, one of ladies brought the menu for us but there were no manners or asking for drinks. We waited for more than 15 min. Afterwards, and we asked them if they can took our order, the lady said someone is coming for that table. 8 min after that.

Went to this restaurant because of its 4 star google rating. I’ve never been to a Dominican restaurant but I’ve had Puerto Rican food before and loved it. I assumed a lot of the food would be similar because menu items looked the same with the same name. I ordered chicken empanadas and mofongo (had it and PR and it was AMAZING!) My order was a carry out (which I waited 20-30 minutes for) so I didn’t see the presentation until I got back to my hotel room.

I don’t know who are the haters, but this restaurant is perfect.Good food , sad to say but I can’t find food that good in Charleston, Friendly associates Melisa was extremely good , price cheap.60 dollar dinner for two and plenty food too much I will say. Quick weekend getaway for the family to watch my nephew wrestle in a tournament. We were first to arrive and after checking in to our hotel we needed food. Didn’t want anything from a chain restaurant and we love little mom and pop restaurants. We also love anything that has yuca and maduros!! Found this little gem not too far from the hotel and they did not disappoint. Food was so flavorful and we had to grab a to go box for our leftovers. I had the mofongo with fried pork and it was really good. Wife had the grilled chicken and my daughter had the fried chicken. All so very good and flavorful. Try the lemonade and other juices. Their mugs are so huge!! Looking forward to our next visit!!!!

Overall food was really good, love the music! Service was good, server was attentive & nice. Only thing I will say is that the restaurant had no A/C on & it was really uncomfortable. It was way too warm inside on a hot day. Highly recommend to make restaurant cooler!

My husband and I were visiting from Oklahoma and i decided to bring him here to try Dominican food for the first time. EVERYTHING was fresh, homemade and DELICIOUS!!!! The portion size was huge and we had enough leftovers for another meal. We loved the grilled chicken, rice & beans, empanadas and plantains!!! The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly. I’d give this restaurant 5 STARS all day long!!

Very good friendly service. The atmosphere has a Island feel. They have very reasonable prices on there food. I was able to get 2 appetizers and a main dish for under $25. The food was sooooo good. I would recommend giving them a try. I will definitely be coming back to try some of the other things they have to offer.
