We recently held a private event at the Pupatella in South Arlington, located on Walter Reed Drive. Some of the best features of this location were the casual, yet private event space, option for a buffet-style dinner (which allowed our guests to sit down to eat and/or mix and mingle), the accompanying bar and drink options, and the great parking availability.

$20 for a smedium is ridiculous. Pizza tasted good, but there are too many pizza places in the area that have comparable taste quality to overpay for pizza. Good luck.

I got a margherita pizza and a tiramisu. It was good for an American Italian spot

I wouldn’t be exaggerating to say this is literally my family’s favorite restaurant of all time. I’m Italian and their Margherita DOC pizza is extremely close to pizza right out of Naples! I sometimes add prosciutto to mine and my hubby will add meatballs to his, but it’s fine too exactly how they serve it! My husband’s family was Navy and they were stationed in Italy this is the closest they’ve found up and down the east coast to legit pizze napoletane! Their dough is perfect and so is their sauce. My kids go nuts for their pizza, meatballs, arancini and fried mozzarella balls. Oh, and their gelato is spot on as well! Service has ALWAYS been great as well. We go here after a long day walking around DC like tourists or out and about hiking, etc. and it hits the spot every time! The location on Wilson Blvd has a really nice large outdoor patio behind and to the side of the store, perfect for kids to play while you wait. This location on Glebe is nice too but with a covered porch.

I live 50 feet from Pupatella, like I can look out my back door and throw a rock at the front parking lot.

My favorite pizza place on the WMA. Great dough, great toppings—especially love the onion tart. Would be very dangerous if I lived closer, since I’d be there routinely.

Great tasting pizza, especially the crust! Love their cannollis filled with ricotta that has a just the right amount of lemon zest

I got the tomato artichoke pizza and it was so extremely soggy. I couldn’t tell if the dough was undercooked or if the water from the artichokes and tomatoes soaked the dough through, but regardless I was very disappointed. This is the second time that I’ve had super soggy pizza since moving to Arlington recently, so maybe that’s just the style here, but it definitely did not make me happy.

Highly recommend! The pizza was so fresh! We ordered takeout, although they did have socially distant seating available outside. There was also a small parking lot (a plus since free parking is so rare in Arlington).
