Some of the best brisket I’ve had here in Texas. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the owners are very down-to-earth, and the food makes you happy. Not much more you can ask for in a barbecue joint. Be sure to try their sweet potato casserole. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area. Heck, highly recommend if you’re not in the area!

1st time in, and they did not disappoint. Very friendly and neighborly atmosphere. We tried half the menu, and the only thing we heard from the family was chomping. Lol. Places to eat inside and out. So if you are in Von Ormy or just looking for a place to get some fresh hot bbq, this is the place. Did I mention they are family owned and operated. Make sure you go hungry. They are only open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 11am cst. to 7pm cst.

This place is a real legit BBQ spot. It’s unfussy and unpretentious without being unprofessional. The building is right in a backyard and there’s donkeys and cows not far away. I ordered brisket and cheddar jalapeño sausage with fries and jalapeño poppers. Fries were obviously made in-house and were good. Jalapeño poppers were good too. Sausage was excellent. Brisket was fairly dry, but enjoyable once it had sauce on it. My fiancée got a brisket sandwich that was definitely not dry, and she really enjoyed it. The whole meal was really good and it was a perfectly reasonable price. There’s a lot of disappointing BBQ places out there, but this isn’t one of them.

Overall it was very good. The catfish was wonderful and very hot when I got it but took longer than expected. It’s mostly serve yourself but they bring your food to you. Only issues I had are that they don’t have traditional air conditioning so it was leaning towards warm inside, we did get a seat right away but seating is limited so could be an issue especially for larger groups and the music was loud enough to interfere with conversation. If I go again will probably bring it home.

This place is awesome. My son got the 1meat and 2 sides(chicken and double fries) and that plate was loaded. The fried fish plate was great and my 1 meat and 2 sides(brisket with pinto beans and potato salad) was really good. Bbq sauce is made from scratch everyday along with all the sides. You can’t find that anywhere and it doesn’t break the bank. They were making homemade strawberry ice cream and gave the kids a sample. Employee’s are super friendly,Will definitely be back. Check this place out.

My family has visited Pure Country on a few occasions for family events or business and no matter why we’re there we stay for the delicious food! The brisket is fricken amazing y’all. Like, to die for. Everything is excellent but this is brisket you dream about. I highly recommend! It’s worth whatever drive you have to make!

Everything was excellent!! Friendly and welcoming staff, very clean restaurant. The food, let’s talk about the food that melts in your mouth and keeps asking for more!! The brisket was cooked to perfection, the potato salad oh dang the best one I’ve ever had, the hand cut fried potatoes called French fries nothing better and the cheese over them fries! Gosh we were in heaven and the views, wow! Definitely worth the drive! The dessert I almost forgot, you have to get dessert! Banana pudding and peach cobbler were decadent!

Happen to find this place on Google and not far from my house. This place has excellent service zach and eva were very nice, the food was very good especially their fall off the bone DINO RIBS. Very worth it side’s are good portions and prices are reasonable definitely will be back.
