Great food exactlyvas described. Good size portions spicy levels on point and consistent. Very friendly order at the counter staff. Fun thai ice tea bear ice cubes for only a 1.75 extra with a Thai ice tea. Fresh veggies comfortable seating also outside seating available. Great Thai place.

Tofu isn’t anything special like fried or seasoned, just cubed soft tofu in curry. I ordered extra tofu, but it appears I still got the same amount of protein as the other 3 at my table, so I don’t recommend paying extra for that. Dishes are oval plastic plates which I think is tacky, and it made the curry cool way too quickly. It came out to me luke-warm. Order at the counter bc there aren’t wait staff to attend tables.

Very tasty meals, great atmosphere and prompt service. I got the Pad Woon Sen with chicken (not spicy at all) and he got the Tiew Tom Yum which ended up being only mildly spicy even though it had the little chili pepper on the menu. TBH I can’t do spicy so this was good thing for me, but my BF could have appreciated more spice. If you like things on the spicier side, you can ask to have them make it spicier.

Our first time in here, the place is cozy and comfortable, the service was friendly and fast, the food was really great, we ordered chicken pad tai and the veggie delight with chicken, which was awesome, just the right level of spice and big veggies pieces cooked perfectly! The pot stickers were really good too. Close to home, we will return for sure!

I’ve been eating Thai food for most of my life now due to our iconic and very old Thai restaurant in town here, but this post is about Pure Thai Cafe and their uniqueness in offering Bankok street food staples that many places don’t have. Below you see Kana Moo Krob w/ fried egg and Moo Ping. Kana Moo Krob is a very simple, but delicious dish. It’s Pork Belly and Kana (Chinese broccoli) stir fried in a garlic sauce with varying degrees of chili heat. It’s not complicated, but is so good. Moo Ping is also simplistic. It’s just marinated grilled pork served with veggies, but the Nam Jim Jaew, or just Jaew sauce, is where it’s at and has become one of my favorite discoveries over the years. It is made of lime juice, tamarind, fish sauce, palm or brown sugar, red chilli flakes, shallots, spring onion, cilantro, and toasted sticky rice powder. This sauce is the bees knees. It has sweet, sour, umami, spice, earthiness, etc all in one. It can also come with their Bankok fried chicken wings too, which is deadly. I didn’t get one this time so I ripped a picture from their site, but people go gaga for their Thai iced teas and coffees with the little ice buddies in them.

Got Khao Soi Gai takeout through their website. Tasted great, came with fried noodles and tofu on the side. It was still hot too. They put cardboard in to help the bag’s structure. I will definitely be in again!
