If you’re in Kansas City then you know Barbecue has to be on your list and it doesn’t get much better than this. Tender meat that almost melts in your mouth. Good service, classic roadhouse style spot and normal portion sizes. Well done!

Q39 midtown, probably one of the best BBQ experiences I have had in a long time. No wonder most of the locals rave about it. Went 3 times in 5 weeks. The pork belly tacos will change your life. The bacon wrapped shrimp is also very good. The rest of the proteins on the menu are very very good! My favorite was the chicken while my wife loved the ribs. On the dessert menu the carrot is to die for. Overall great experience well deserved 5 stars!!!

I have nothing bad to say about this place. From the minute we walked in we were greeted and seated. Highly recommend making a reservation (we did) since they have a line out the door trying to get in. Service and food recommendations from our server were on point. The drinks were tasty. We ordered an old fashioned and a lemon drop. Both had their house made smoked honey. Yum. Then for an appetizer were ordered the wings (pictured) and they really are the best wings in the world! So tasty. We ordered two dinner plates between 3 of us, the rib platter and the brisket with burnt ends. Our 5 year old crushed this food and said it’s the best meal she has had in her life. We all ate until we were stuffed and still had ribs to take home. Our server Trey was great and on top of things. We can’t wait to come back next time we are in town!

We were traveling on vacation and figured out we would be passing through Kansas City around lunch time, so we made an online reservation to eat at Q39. We got the burnt ends appetizer and it was scrumptious. All three of us got combination plates and everything tasted good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice. Our server was friendly and did a good job.

If I could give them 10 stars I would. Our server, Duane, could not have been any better. He was super busy but made us feel like we were his only table. We got the wings as an appetizer, my husband got ribs and I got pick 2 combo plate with ribs and sausage. Duane brought us 4 sauces to try and explained each one. We had Mac n cheese, baked beans, and Orzo Pasta salad. Everything was absolutely delicious. We even ordered more wings to take home to go with our left over ribs. Oh, and how could I forget, we had the best Carrot Cake I have ever had for dessert. We got there around 5:30 and walked right in but they had a wait line within 5 minutes.

Burnt ends and baby back ribs were great, brisket was kinda dry. I wish we could have just the burnt ends without the brisket.

Q39 deserves the rewards it’s received when it comes to its BBQ. The wings were out of this world. Crispy but juicy, the chipotle sauce was the perfect blend of spicy and sweet. The mac and cheese and ribs were delectable. Would recommend as one of the best BBQ spots in the city. 9.0/10

It was my first time at Q39. It was a good experience. We had a 52 minute wait and it was pretty loud when we got seated, but I’d say it was worth the wait and it did start to quiet down not long after we were seated as it was getting close to closing time. The prices were fair. The quality was on deserving of all the ribbons and trophies. The quantity was good as well. We both had the Judges Plate. He got ribs, pulled pork, and the sausage. I had ribs, sliced brisket, and smoked chicken. It was all very good. It’s not as good as some but better than a lot . Overall, we would come back.

This place we got in fast because there was a game going on. Normally, we were told there is a 2 hr wait to get in. Our waiter was amazing, the best service we have had in a long time. He earned his tip and definitely went above and beyond. The food was amazing. This came recommended by a few people we asked what was the best place to come to.
