Excellent food and atmosphere at Q’enko! We came for lunch and ordered some appetizers and their roast chicken meal. The food was cooked to order, delicious with generous portions. Located on Washington Street in Bloomfield, this little gem of a place offers vegetarian options as well. Try it, you won’t be disappointed!

Named for an Inca holy place and archaeological site in the valley of Peru, we came to this establishment on Washington Street in Bloomfield for our first Yelp Elite event in 2023. My partner and I walked in the place which was very welcoming and the host/server Samuel took care of us. The menu includes dishes with classic, traditional Peruvian flavors infused with twists such as Tallarines Verde, a pasta with bright green sauce almost like a pesto; Chaufa, a Peruvian take on fried rice; and Jalea, a fried mix of seafood topped with onions. For our event, selected entrees and drinks were chosen for us which we ordered Chicken Anticuchos/Kabobs with boiled potato and some corn as well as the Chaufa (fried rice mix with eggs, scallions, white rice) with steak. As for the drinks, we were looking forward for the Chicha (Peruvian purple corn antioxidant drink) but they ran out and gotten the Inca Cola which was refreshingly sweet. Our meal was so amazingly flavorful as the food was fresh and well seasoned with unusual grace notes such as tiny flowers perched atop thoughtfully presented dishes. The steak was cooked to perfection. Friendly staff and fast service clean and beautiful decor. Thank you Sara and Yelp North Jersey team for making this event pleasurable which we could recommend.

Phenomenal! My husband and I were craving Peruvian cuisine and this restaurant blew our minds. I ordered the Peru a lo pobre with chicken and my husband ordered it with steak. The chicken was so amazingly flavorful. It was even tastier than the steak!! I loved the combination of sweet, savory, and salty flavors that the dish had to offer. The overall atmosphere was nice, clean, and simple. The staff was very friendly. I can’t wait to come back and try more food!

Tuesday night my wife and I decided to try this place in Bloomfield called Q’enko, we walked in the place was very welcoming and the hostess took care of us right away. We ordered our food and you can smell the goodness coming out the kitchen. Hands down a great place to come and have dinner. The food was beyond great. The portion was just perfect.

Superb Peruvian food and pleasant setting. Ordered the grilled steak and whole q’enko fish. The steak was done to perfection. The fish was pan-seared to a crispy exterior with tender interior. Came with calamari and stone shrimp and crab to boot. Friendly owner and staff. Highly recommend.
