An incredible Sunday night dinner! Went here for my wedding anniversary and every thing was delicious. We ordered the rice balls and calamari for appetizers. For entrees, we ordered the Veal Scarpareillo, Rigatoni Bolognese, and the Braided Pork Shank (so tasty, highly recommend! Portions were large too. The inside of the restaurant is so beautiful and cozy. Will be returning for sure!

We took advantage of their brunch on the first day of offering and it did not disappoint! 3 courses and bottomless drinks for under $40. Several drink options (not just mimosas), that they kept flowing throughout the entire meal. Never had to ask for a refill once. There was choice of 3 apps, which I got the eggs in purgatory. The sauce was so good and had a light spice to it, along with nice crusty bread. Lots of good entree options, but I went with the truffle gnocchi which was amazing. For dessert I had the bomboloni. I was pretty stuffed by this point but it had good taste and was a nice end to brunch. Service was great and prices were super reasonable, especially for the quality and amount of food. Nothing bad to say about this experience but also nothing outstanding. Bartender was friendly and provided great service. Was there during happy hour so ate off that menu. We got the antipasto board which was good (small but from the happy hour menu so likely the regular one is larger). Cheeses were good but were served as 3 large chunks which we cut in to edible size pieces. Was served with grilled bread. Bread basket was delicious. Crusty bread with olive on the side. Cacio e pepe while not on the dinner menu was on the happy hour one. It was good but not balanced a little too much pepper and too little cheese. Meatballs were tasty but nothing special. Overall a nice experience but nothing memorable. Unfortunately only got one photo.

Upon ordering chicken picatta I asked if anything came with it. Waitstaff said artichoke hearts. Yum! When I received my dinner there was possibly the equivalent of 1 artichoke heart and alot of broccoli Rabe. Waitstaff never mentioned broccoli Rabe. I would have asked for it on the side or switched it out. No concern at all. Shrugged shoulders. Really?

Went with my wife and another couple. We all found the food to be good, but not excellent. The wait staff was prompt but not friendly and two of them were on the grumpy side. On the positive side the bar tenders were friendly and did a nice job. Overall we probably will not be coming back as there are better options for Italian in Newtown.
