My wife really enjoyed the lobster roll. One hint, spend $5 more to get extra lobster on your roll. The fries and Cole slaw were very good. The staff is friendly and helpful. There isn’t a dine in seating area but there are nice tables right out the door.

Generous lobster portions but don’t expect to be stuffed with just a single roll. Dressed very simply, which, in my opinion is the best. Of course, it’s a bit pricey.

5 stars for the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had. Seriously it was so good that it didn’t bother that we drove 2 hours to try it. Of course there are more things to see and try in Cape May, NJ but this is a must stop and taste place. Just to mention store is small, there are no tables inside but you can seat outside and enjoy the ocean breeze while eating. It operates seasonal so I suggest to check if they open before you go.

We ordered lobster rolls here and corn dogs for the kids. The kids enjoyed their meals. The lobster rolls were of good quality and tasted comparable to more expensive ones I had at full service restaurants. However, they are a little smaller and I would’ve preferred if the bread was a little thicker. Nonetheless, I would come back here for a quick and affordable dinner.

We ordered 2 classic and 2 Connecticut rolls and 1 lobster bisque. We have been here before and it has all been delicious but tonight was off. The Connecticut rolls were dry, perhaps the warming did that, and the lobster bisque was inedible. It tasted like flour or yeast. I called to alert them that it tasted “off”. I was not taken seriously. The service from the person on the phone was curt and he told me they’ve had no complaints and it’s been “out” for 2 hours. However, my husband had to wait a bit for them to finish “mixing” a new batch of bisque. I was asked to call back tomorrow if I want a refund.

Good. Overall experience was good. The quality of the lobster is fantastic. We ordered two lobster rolls and a side of fries. They give you large pieces in the roll, unlike some places that give you tiny shredded pieces. I gave this place three stars because the lobster roll is small. It’s like a miniature roll or a kid sized sandwich. I was shocked at how small it was. My boyfriend spent $50 for two lobster rolls and a side of fries. I know lobster is an expensive food item, but this is a little too much. It was good, but I’m not planning to return because of how costly it is. Just beware that this place is pricy.

I don’t eat a lot of lobster rolls but I was underwhelmed. We ordered lobster salad roll and crab roll totaling $36 – good luck if you’re feeding a family. Both were cold so be aware. Flavor was pretty good on the lobster salad. However, the portions vs price is what made it underwhelming. I was happy to pay for some fresh lobster but you can see in the pic that it’s kind of lame. The toasted roll was decent but seems a standard cheap split top roll. I had a few decent chunks of lobster and that’s it. If my roll was overflowing with excess that I had to eat with a fork – would have been happy. This was basically a very expensive snack with a bag of chips. Look elsewhere if you’re looking to satisfy hunger. Service was fast. They DO NOT have ice for some reason.

The boardwalk location (technically across the street) has always treated me well. More options than you’d expect for such a small relatively low-key spot. Needless to see the lobster rolls are fantastic and and a great value.

Ordered the Connecticut-style lobster roll and it was a bit dry. Also paid for the “extra” portion, so it looked normal after that (otherwise too little meat). Also ordered the chicken tenders and fries for my party and those were both exquisite. That said, it’s an issue when your name contains Lobster Roll but your chicken is better than your main dish.
