I love the r bar. I’m a little younger, but they have 13+ drag shows for teens which is epic. I came here with my mom a couple weeks ago and yesterday. A couple weeks ago, they were having a drag show and we were like the only people there, but they still have us a show. It was great!!! Atmosphere is amazing, *chefs kiss* and the food is great! I don’t know what they put on those fries, but they are to die for! Overall great place to go for dinner, it’s not really a just a bar. Drag queens and kings are super nice and friendly

My wife Christine and I attended Sunday Bruch today and had an absolute blast!! The food was outstanding, with such a delicious variety, the drag performers were phenomenal and soo entertaining and the service was amazing!! Everyone was sooo friendly, including Amy and Dawn, the owners who talked with us after the show!! The R bar is a priceless treasure in this area as there are not many other business who are inclusive to us!! We felt safe, loved and appreciated and absolutely cannot wait until the next drag brunch!! Thank you Amy, Dawn and staff for such a great time today!!

Seriously??? Don’t waste your time and money. I have never been so appalled in my entire life. How many rude people can be employed at one establishment?? The service was terrible, I actually thought they forgot we were there. A $10 cover, a $10 minimum on a card for watery drinks, blah food and being ignored. When I asked for the owner I was told she was busy! Later I saw the service speaking to a woman I found out was the owner, Amy. They both looked over at my table, Amy shrugged her shoulders and walked away, which is what I should’ve done when they charged me the outrageous cover. The couple at the next table leaned over and told me she treats her entertainments like dirt, pays them pocket change and expects more and more of them. Never again. I will never set foot in that hovel again and I have A LOT of friends who won’t either.

Support local lgbtq bars and clubs. People leaving bad reviews are banned for a reason. They are filled with ugliness inside and out ( I mean just look!) and they are so jealous of a successful couple. And let’s face it, the same drag queens have issues with dockside bar now..so what that does that tell you? Others who leave negative reviews under fake social media profiles (Thom Ostrega comes to mind) simply because they are banned, they are hanging out with meth heads, pick fights, and /or think they have some sort of power in the gay community. They do not! They are all nobody’s who do nothing for our community!

We always have a wonderful experience at the R Bar. It’s one of the few places in the michiana area where all kinds of people can come and have a good time and mingle with no drama. The drag shows are amazing. We are here tonight for the burlesque show. I do recommend crying hair too it is surprisingly good as well. Particularly the mushrooms and fried pickles. I see this little bar doing great things and will probably soon out grow their current space.

This is such a beautiful place. I was so comfortable here. It is has been one of the best places and atmosphere I’ve ever been. The most happy people in one place. The most smiles I’ve ever seen! I just loved it here! If I lived close by I’d want to visit every day!

Update: I have been to the new location and spoke with both owners that night (they were intoxicated) and I did not feel safe as they now have an entire wall of windows facing Mishawaka Ave. that you could see right through so I have not returned (even if it has been tinted)

I stopped in on a friend’s recommendation and I did not regret it. It was a Saturday night and there was a great drag show. I was pleasantly surprised by the diversity of the crowd. I was lucky enough to get a pizza before the kitchen closed and event that was spectacular. I definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
