We had good service and enjoyed the four-course meal. The bread was really amazing – soft inside with just enough of a crispy crust. The minestrone was good and although the salad was a fairly simple iceberg salad (with some olives and such) I really liked their olive oil and vinegar dressing. We really liked our entrees, and it was great that we had the option of just sharing with the kids.

My family was looking to have a good Italian meal, but the food was plain and lacked the flavor of a true home-made Italian dinner. To be fair, we were greeted pleasantly by the owner and wanted to be excited about our visit. We were told the meal was four courses and were impressed that all of this came with the entree price. The minestrone soup was great and liked by all but the salad was nothing more than watery iceberg lettuce. Service was very slow and the waitress was not familiar with the menu. We asked if there was a special and she looked confused and then picked something off the the menu and highlighted it as a “special”. I asked if there was something special with this dish tonight and she said no, it was just very good. (?). I ordered a spicy shrimp and chicken dish (which they accommodated as it was supposed to be either chicken OR shrimp) but the shrimp appeared to be out of the frozen grocery section and the chicken was already pre-cooked but thrown on the grill for fresh grill marks. Sauce on all dishes was watery and did not appear to be homemade. A bottle of wine was very affordable for $22 but sadly I’m pretty sure I could have bought the same wine in the store for under $5. No selection of the wines, it was all “house” style. Long story short we spent $118 for our family of 4 (prior to the tip) and it was the most disappointed I have been paying for a meal in many many years. Will not return.

We were looking for a good Italian meal on Father’s Day and found this place. We will definitely go back. The service was excellent, the food was fabulous and the owner/chef actually came out and talked to us. They serve a 4 course meal. Of course you would be lucky to finish it all. I normally don’t care for minestrone soup but theirs was great. You top your meal off with a rainbow sherbet. Perfect!!

Whenever friends visit, we try to make a point of taking them to R Place for dinner. We have always been satisfied with the quality of the food. I can vouch for the lemon chicken and the baked lasagna, both usually on special. I have also enjoyed the eggplant parmigiana. My partner usually gets fish and is happy with that. Recently they have added a very fresh, thin pizza bread appetizer. This is followed by minestrone and salad, served family style. Maybe we have just been lucky, but we have eaten there at least a dozen times in recent years and have never had a bad meal.

Best dining deal in the dells, all dinners include Homemade Minestrone Soup, Tossed Salad with Italian Dressing, ( both ) Bread and Seasoned Olive Oil. They are 4 course meals priced from $12 to about $20. Beers are under $4 !!!. Management and servers are super friendly , the Cook is a great Guy.

The food was not prepared as it should have been. The lasagna was too salty, the fettuccine sauce was watery. On top of that, food is not worth the price, the plates were small and overpriced. There are way better Italian restaurants. They did not offer to reduce our bill after knowing we didn’t like our food. Pretty sure the minestrone was canned soup and the parmesan cheese was from a kraft bottle.

This was a horrible restaurant!!!!! DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT EAT HERE! They took forever just to get our drinks and appetizers! We ordered pizza bread as an appetizer and it was literally frozen pizza. I also ordered friend chicken and mostacholli and it was literally noodles with chef boy r d sauce. The fried chicken was DISGUSTING. What Italian restaurant has fried chicken anyway and I got it because it was the only good thing on the menu. Also the bill was so high!!! It is a horrible Italian restaurant. Do not go here!

The food was not good. For an authentic Italian resturaunt the alfredo was awful. We make it better at home than they did here. The sauce was runny and the pasta was over priced. My husband and I went for a romantic night but that’s not what we got at all. The chicken was burnt and the pasta portions were extremely small for the price. We went to Dennys the next day and were happier with their food! Stay away…

We were not greeted when we walked in until the bartender finally got around to rudely stating it would be a minute. Then we were sat by a cook, at which point we waited for almost 10 minutes to have a server greet us. I should have just left then. Instead, we waited another 10 minutes to order and another 10 before soup came out. All total we spent almost 2 hours there for 4 entrees. My husband’s steak came out dry and burnt (he ordered rare). He ate 2 bites and told them he would not eat it because all he could taste is char…this man eats EVERY steak he orders even when it is overcooked. The server did not offer to recoil it, left it in front of him while we ate and then left it on the bill as well! We will not be returning and caution others against spending WAY too much for bad food and worse service!
