Wow R&S kosher restaurant and takeout has been around for years and nobody beats them their liver is an icon in the small town of Lakewood New Jersey (it’s not such a small town no more) and their potato salad cannot be beat! All of their food is great! It’s a very homey old style takeout everyone’s a friend!

Evidently R&S does a booming business in take-out and catering as witnessed by three people preparing giant rolls of kishka the night we were there.We were the only table seated that night, but, as I mentioned, takeout and catering and special events are their specialty.

This is an amazing old world style Kosher establishment. Great items include macaroni salad, stuffed derma with gravy, chopped liver, sauted liver with onions, cholent, kreplachs, various kugels, cooked chicken pieces like legs & thighs, also shnitzel, delicious hand sliced cold cuts including pastrami, roast beef, corned beef, a fatty version of corned beef that I don’t know the Yiddish name for, sliced turkey, etc. This is a unique and transformative place with the nicest people and a large dining room that can be used for special occasions. I love their food!
