This is one of the best delis I have ever been to. Lived here for years and never knew about. How did I find out? This establishment has been very supportive of a museum that I volunteer at. Commonwealth coach and trolley. They have amazingly good food and is far better than subway. They have a very clean bathroom as well and the staff is so friendly. I will be back.

Great little delicatessen. Great atmosphere and very good service. The food is phenomenal, and it doesn’t break the bank. If you’re from NYC, you’ll really love this place. The bagels are imported from NYC!! It’s like a slice of home. If you have never been to NYC, stop by and try……everything!! This place is that good!!

My wife and I have stopped in here for breakfast every time we’ve been in Roanoke. The sandwiches are always great no matter if you stay and eat in the deli or take them with you to go. Highly recommend giving this place a try!

Terrible service, very rude and disrespectful. We walked in and were instantly greeted with a rude attitude even while we continued to be polite! The place is nasty and unsanitary! The toilet in the bathroom is absolutely disgusting! Sandwiches are not to bad but definitely not worth the possibilities of eating something nasty/unsanitary and dealing with the rude service! Will definitely be contacting Roanoke city to file a complaint.

Calling all Yankees……if you are missing your exit on the Parkway or Turnpike…..run don’t walk to R. T. Smith’s…..I just had the Jersey on a fresh Kaiser roll and it tasted just like home! I also tried the cheesecake brownie and it was very rich and yummy.
