Such a great place! Before the pandemic, during, and after the ramen is always top notch. Consistency has been hard to find in many restaurants for the last couple of years, but Rai Rai Ramen has always had terrific food for reasonable prices. My favorite ramen is the Akamaru Modern Ramen, but the hot and spicy seafood ramen never disappoints either. The udon noodles and fried rice are wonderfully savory and filling as well! The BBQ also slaps, especially the chicken but the beef is always very chewy and gristly (regularly, I’ve never had it when it wasn’t). Delicious flavor though.

Service was quick on a Wednesday evening. We were seated and waited on extremely quickly. Food also came out very quickly. However, the decor of the restaurant is a lacking and while the portions of food were huge, I’d say the taste was just alright. For example my spicy ramen was barely spicy.

We ate here on a Saturday night. First, I’ll start by saying don’t expect a lot in terms of ambiance. It’s a wide open space with a bunch of tables and chairs and fluorescent lighting. That being said, the food makes up for this. We’ve had amazing mixed plates in Hawaii before and the food here was equally as good. We ordered the garlic shrimp (excellent), the BBQ mixed plate (excellent) and mini shoyu combo (very good). Overall, I would recommend this place to friends and family.

Took my parents here for their anniversary to try Hawaiian food. The Hawaiian option was limited, and I’m not sure if it was authentic or not. The ramen and beef were tasty. I really enjoyed the side pasta. The pork dish was absolutely disgusting. The service was poor. The lady who served showed no interest in us. It seemed like she was making fun of us after asking her for new bowls since the ones she gave us were dirty. I had to remind her to grab us new bowls since she seemed to have forgotten.

This place delivers every time we come here! We usually get the chicken katsu curry ramen, but decided on something else this time. I got the tan tan ramen and my husband got the akamaru. Service is always prompt and very friendly! We will continue to come here every weekend.
