Very excellent service and food! Highly recommend the apple and cheddar fritters. I snagged their seasonal Waldorf salad with tri tip steak.

My experience at Railroad and Main was underwhelming. The ambiance felt more like a cafeteria, and the floor plan was oddly designed. The lack of a proper sound system was noticeable, as music played from a speaker located elsewhere in the restaurant.

I like this place was close to my hotel, but the restaurant has a lackluster open vibe to it. Almost like the seating doesn’t match the space and walls are bare. It felt awkward walking across the room to sit by the bar.

The Bartender Sydney was friendly and nice. She told me the history of the building. And made THE BEST old fashion !

I thought I should update my review of this place. I recently had my first lunch experience at R&Ms new location in Williston which brought much of its charm from its original Essex location. We were seated quickly with water and menus. There was outdoor seating, but it was a bit cold that day and nobody was outside. I was happy to see that there are several gluten-free options on the menu. Rachel was our server that day. She was pleasant and listened with a smile as I told her about the last time I had a Cubano. I then ordered the Cubano and it was great! The plantains were a bit starchy and lacked the sweetness a cooked plantain usually has. For now, I’ll assume that it was more the availability of perfectly ripened plantain than the preparation. The dining room was spacious and not very loud despite the moderate lunch crowd. Overall, I’m happy with Railroad & Main and look forward to dining here again.

Railroad and Main has a great modern interior. They also play on their name and location by showcasing black and white photos of dogs on train tracks around the restaurant. Many dishes are also named after the Hudson River that the train travels down.

I ate at Railroad & Main with my sister on May 13th. I was visiting from out of town and we went in for an early dinner, sat at the bar.

We were looking for dinner while traveling to Burlington and saw this place online. We love trains so figured it was right up our alley. The atmosphere was fun and relaxing. The service was great with everyone pitching in. And the best part? The food!!! So delicious and creative with a great selection of beers. I wish we lived closer and could keep going back to enjoy the whole menu.
