First time here. To start, we had the Onion Rings for an appetizer which were kind of limpy with very little crust, but ok. We then ordered the Pub House Burger with the hobo fries. It was amazing! One of the best burgers I have ever eaten! The service was amazing! Our server was so friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this place and I will definitely be back!

The catfish was excellent. Crispy coating and meaty tender fish. Unfortunately no hush puppies to be found on the menu. The hobo potatoes are a mixture of regular fries and sweet potato fries. Oddly the sweet potato fries are skinny like shoe string potatoes. Not exactly the 50-50 mixture I was expecting. My preference would have been hush puppies even with the Mahi Mahi special I had ordered. This was my first intro to Mahi Mahi. I don’t understand the the hype. IMO it wasn’t worth the $22 for the plate. A MN walleye is just as tasty. My daughter enjoyed the shrimp with baby potatoes. It came with a lot of green peppers. Appreciated the friendly staff but it was difficult to hear her from across the table.

Over the years we have dined here a few times but mostly it seems we attend political fundraisers here. The facilities are good the on-premises brewed beer is fine and the food served with the speeches is rather tasty. The parking is expansive.

Our new favorite place to eat. Stopped by for lunch before heading to the aquarium which is really close by. This place must be popular with the working folks in the area because it was packed for a weekday lunch. Thankfully we didn’t have to wait long for a table. One downside was it was really loud but once folks started leaving it was much better. Fresh, delicious food with friendly, efficient service. The onion rings were to die for but way too much for 2. Both of us had shrimp & it was flavorful. We were hoping for home brewed root beer since they brew beer but no luck. We’re adding this to our Visit Again list when visiting the coast.

The Appetizer Platter was good, we split between 6 people. The blackened fish tacos are fantastic (comes with 2) and there are many beers and margs. to choose from! We’ll definitely be coming here again.

Great atmosphere at this restaurant. It was so busy at lunch that we had to sit at the bar. The Salmon Salad that I got, was really sub par. Instead of using dark leaves, cheaper lettuce was used for the base. Taste was drowned by Sweet Chilly Sauce ( which I love). But it was just excessive.

Visited Corpus and stopped at the Railroad for a late night dinner after reading their reviews and it being recommended by a local friend. We started with Fried Calamari and the Oysters Rockefeller, their appetizer special of the night. We also had their fish (flounder) and shrimp plate, fried. The calamari was really delicious, probably the best I’ve had in a long time. The Oysters were disappointing. I was expecting to taste fresh oysters, garlic/shallots, butter and a bit of cheese. These however were smothered with too much cheese (I know, I know…there’s no such thing as too much cheese but in this case it was) and the other flavors were overshadowed. The fish and shrimp plate was also disappointing. The fish did not taste fresh. It tasted more like it was a frozen filet, the shrimp were large but somewhat dry. The Hobo Fries were delicious but they skimped on the sweet potato fries, the best part, and the stewed corn side dish was tasteless. Maybe it was too late when we visited so I’ll probably go back and try other dishes.

NY steak & shrimp and black drum & shrimp were excellent. Shrimp were big, jumbo shrimp. Ordered the hibiscus pilsner and the chocolate ale. Lots of draft options from other local places. Special was red beans and rice, had a nice bbq flavor to them.

The food was delicious! I got the mahimahi in a Cajun cream sauce. I also had a cup of gumbo and a rum bread pudding for dessert. Everything from start to finish was delicious. The waste staff was courteous and the food arrived at our table very quickly after ordering. I had a great experience here and will definitely be going back to try other menu items. If you like seafood I would highly recommend checking this place out.
