Been coming to Powell for 20+ years, never been to the Rainbow Room for dinner. My loss. We stay on the houseboat every year and have always cooked for ourselves, maybe a few meals at the restaurant on the dock. Decided to give it a try this year as the one on the docks is closed for the season. We made reservations and our table was ready even though we were a little early. Bella made sure we were comfortable and Asia made sure we were satisfied. What a great pair to work with. The food was well prepared and delicious, the cocktails were great, the price was lower than expected. And the view! Wow. Overall a 5 Star night all around! Thanks Bella and Asia!

I booked a table online the same day to ensure a great spot, and we ended up with beautiful views. The service was top-notch, and so was the food. Our group of four enjoyed a variety of salads, including panzanella with and without chicken, farro and squash, and a Cobb salad. Each was flavorful, and the portions were just right for dinner. For dessert, we indulged in the strawberry semifreddo shortcake bar, cheesecake lava cake, and apple strudel – all delicious, but the strawberry shortcake was the favorite. If you’re in the area and looking for a fine dining experience, I’d happily recommend the Rainbow Room.

The food and service are excellent. It is staffed by lots of foreign students, and some tenured servers that are all fabulous. The food was delicious and well plated. It’s the bright cafeteria lighting that is hard to handle. We are surrounded by beautiful surroundings, but the lights are so bright, one is unable to see past the windows. Three asks later, they finally turned down the lighting. When you charge premium prices for food, the lighting and ambience should match. Come on rainbow room – up your game!

Arrived at the restaurant when it opened, there were less than 4 parties seated. I was told that my party of 4 could not sit at any of the tables close to the glass window since we are not a party of 6. We were put on the furthest table from the windows that overlooked the lake. Somehow, not even a few minutes pass and there is a party of 2 that gets a table in front of the window. Another party of 3 women gets a table at the window. Very unprofessional and highly do not recommend to any families to come here unless you want to be treated unequal. Was told that the couple had a special exception due to an anniversary. Apparently the 3 women came from a tourist party? What does that have to do with sitting in a near empty dining hall. Totally uncalled for. Will not come again. Save your money people. You can get treated better elsewhere. Food was alright, costs are average for a typical dining place. Seriously, even the waiter could not explain why the female hostess chose to seat us there when others had the edge view.

My family and I went to eat dinner at the Rainbow Room and had a wonderful experience. Everything we ordered was made with quality ingredients and tasted great. They also included a very nice kids menu for younger kids. Service was outstanding Everybody was friendly and sweet. They finished serving us dinner even though the restaurant was originally closed at the time we finished eating. Absolutely recommend.

May 1- myself and my wife are vacationing from California to see good places like Antelope Canyon and Lake Powell in Page Arizona and after Antelope Canyon we decided to eat at one of the nicest restaurant at Lake Powell, the Rainbow Room. After arriving at Lake Powell around 5 pm, we made reservations with Tonisha for a 6:15 dinner because we were told that reservations are required. We came a little bit late for our reservation and we were given a nice table (with a view). Sat down for 3 minutes and we got served with iced water. We were told that server will be with us to take our orders. 15 minutes passed and the girl who served us water came with bread and butter and asked if the server took our orders, and we responded no, not yet. She told us that she will inform the server that we have been waiting for her to take our orders. 10 minutes had passed and NO server in sight to take our orders!! We noticed some customers that came after us were already having their salads/soup. At this instant, we decided to leave and eat somewhere else. The manager tried to stop us but we’ve made up our minds. I cannot believe that a restaurant this nice and decent can treat people like us that way!!

View on the lake is very nice, provided you dine with light. Reservation is compulsory. Food arrived after 75 mins since seated. Waiter was very direct, close to impolite, when we enquired about our food. My pork was hard, my wife’s salmon was good, my kids liked the pizza.
