Stopped for dinner on our visit to Ranier and so glad we did. We sat on the patio and enjoyed refreshing drinks. Walleye sandwich was best we’ve had.

While there is no separate gluten-free menu, none of the sauce are thickened with flour. They are able to accommodate for gluten-free needs. I enjoyed the potato and bacon soup, parmesan crusted walleye with grilled vegetables and chocolate mouse for dessert. My non gluten-free husband had a salad with ranch, buffalo chicken mac-n-cheese and chocolate mouse with cookie. Nice dinner for both of us.

The owner, or at least who I believe to be the owner, of Rainy Lake Grill was outstanding. She took the time to talk to me about what options they have for gluten free eating. My 4yo daughter has Celiac Disease so we were trying to find something for her. We settled on some rice noodle alfredo. My daughter being a picky kid decided she didn’t want what we gave her, even though the food was delicious, so the kitchen very graciously warmed up her back up gluten free pizza. No questions asked. Highly recommend.

Possibly the best kept secret (That isn’t much of a secret anymore) in Borderland. We are definitely one of the ‘regulars’ at the RL Grill. The standard menu has something for everyone and the specials are always worth trying. This is a ‘must visit’ place in Rainier!

All very delish. The best Avocado BLT and Mango shrimp tacos I have ever had. The gyro looked amazing also. My hubby Lance said it’s the best he has had. Very great prices for lots of food. Well worth it. The new remodel looks fabulous.

Small restaurant, with a big menu. Homemade food, the pizza looked really good – wish I would’ve ordered that instead. We were just here for a quick lunch but the dinner menu looked better. Our food wasn’t anything special. Would’ve liked a more attentive server but overall our experience was okay. Very quaint little restaurant, I would recommend if you’re looking for a dinner meal without a fancy atmosphere. Will most likely be back to try out the pizza! Also they charge an extra 3% for using credit or debit so I’d suggest bringing cash if you can!

Quite honestly the worst pizza I’ve ever had. Beware that the Sweet Heat Chicken pizza is covered in like 3 jars of planters peanuts, incredibly salty, and not at all what you would expect for “sweet heat” — completely ruined our appetites. The server was very nice, but management only gave a $3 discount on a $25 pizza when we sent it back. They did offer a dessert, but we could not eat after trying the pizza. Our meal including two drinks, grilled brussel sprouts (which were tasty!), and the “pizza” still came out to over $60. Disappointed.

Food, atmosphere, and service are all awesome. Great place to eat in town. Make a reservation to be sure you get a spot, the deck can fill up quickly when it is nice out.

Great food and great service. We beat the crowd and didn’t need reservations, but the place filled up pretty quick so I would recommend getting a reservation for prime time.

Quick and attentive service! My husband orders the chicken-fried steak and I ordered the Cuban bowl, which were both specials and they were both absolutely delicious. We will go back and we strongly recommend!
