Raja Rani is hands-down the best Indian restaurant in Canton. This place is great under the new management. Thanks to them, we don’t have to go to Farmington hills anymore to get good Indian food. If you believe in ‘comfort food’, this is your go-to place! The chef is great and they have excellent options on their menu and a variety of specials each week. From Jackfruit biryani to curry dosa and everything in between… they have an awesome list of amazing food. Their dishes are unique and authentic. Watch out for their vaazhai ilai virundhu (food served on a banana leaf) announcements on special occasions! The taste and quality of food has been very consistent. When I am craving Indian food, I can trust them to never disappoint! I would give them more stars if I could! Highly recommend!!

This restaurant disrespected me by preparing my food to be completely mild despite me saying that I would like medium spice. I told the waitress that no one had ever asked me for the spice level of Gobi 65 before and I just wanted it made the standard way, and when she pressed for a spice level I said medium. What I got was deep fried cauliflower without any spicy flavor whatsoever. The chicken tikka masala I ordered was very nicely flavored in terms of the non-heat spices, and the creaminess was excellent (though I think the amount of meat was a little bit on the low side). But the entire dish was ruined by being prepared “white person mild” instead of authentically medium. I would have sent the food back but the waitress wasn’t available to complain to as she left the floor completely, and I was very hungry and at least it was palatable fare.

The special lunch for tamil new year was served in banana leaf, which reminded us having a festival feast back home. Both the veg and non veg dishes were equally delicious. Would love to have such feast served in banana leaf on all special occasions.

The food and service was truly amazing!! We had the Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikki Skewers and it was all so fresh and full of flavor. Large portions and the spice level was perfect. The rice and naan were so good! We also had vegetable samosa (delicious) and I would truly recommend all their food. Will definitely be returning!!

We regret going to this restaurant on Valentine’s day. It ruined everything. Ordered Fish fry and Chicken Tikka but both of them were terrible. They took forever to prepare the order, Only one person taking orders and it was very slow. Not going to this restaurant anymore.

I was disappointed by my recent order. I got Chicken Tikka Masala (hot, but not Indian hot on Uber Eats) and it was pretty much mild like they forgot to look at the order. There is hardly any chicken, maybe 3 or 4 pieces. When I came to pickup my order, they didn’t have any plastic ware or napkins in the bag, but that’s understandable, I asked for them. However I had to guess a little bit as to which dish was which because they were not labeled very well and the toppings (garlic naan) and ingredients (chicken and veggies) were so thin, it was hard to tell for sure. The food did not taste bad, and it was ready relatively quickly. It was well packaged in that it did not spill and wasn’t likely to.

I am in Canton for more than 20 years and we never really had a good south Indian restaurant, until now. Raja Rani is real authentic South Indian restaurant under the new management. You could taste the freshness and authenticity in every dish. On top of all of it, Prabhu and his staff will make sure you are leaving satisfied.

WOW! I was not really sure about when my hubby wanted to go. He’s been up here working and could t stop talking about. I’m amazed at how delicious the food was. The staff was very friendly and even educated me some on the culture and food. The Garlic Nan bread was outta this world. We got some type of chicken wrap that was delicious and then the butter chicken with spice level medium. We still have enough for 2-3 more meals. I’m from out of town/state and have never had Indian cuisine and I’ll definitely come back before I leave. My husband comes 2-3 times a week.
