Love this sushi place next to UT! It’s hard to find great tasting sushi around Guad but this restaurant is awesome. Their yaki soba (stir fry noodles), Shaggy Dog roll, and spicy tuna roll is the best in Austin. It can get pretty crowded and the service can be hit or miss but I come here just for the shaggy dog roll alone!

This food was garbage. I ordered from postmates hoping for a nice bento box dinner. Boy was I wrong! The chicken teriyaki that I ordered was just bone dry chicken breast slathered in cheap bbq sauce. The salad was sopping wet. Honestly, I am livid that after spending good money, a restaurant with a 4.7+ rating on postmates could give me such lazy, sloppy food. I can’t fathom how such a rating arises, and honestly I feel robbed. Yuck.

Food was not the best. From the beginning the front girl was rude and seemed overwhelmed. Not a 2nd time around restaurants waiter never refilled our drinks, no utensils had to ask fornsoy sauce and other condiments. Noodles seemed like they were from a package. Very dissapointed.

I should have listened to the reviews when I saw the poor ratings. First and foremost, the food quality was subpar and the taste was as well. I ordered a couple rolls from Raku Sushi, and just like any sushi place, there should be ginger and wasabi with your rolls. However, not only was there none, but I also had to pay for the sauces. I normally would not complain about that except the amount they give was laughable. (please see picture below). It was almost as if they put as little as possible.. Why have a container for the sauces that big when the plan is to put just enough to cover the bottom of the container.

I ordered take-out from this restaurant, so I cant review much about the restaurant itself, but the food was phenomenal. The rolls are priced what you would expect from a sushi place for a specialty roll ($10-12), but are totally worth it. They give you about 8 pieces per roll, which is great for the price. I got the spicy girl roll, which was just o-kay but nothing too special, the Rio Grande roll which was very good, and the Louisiana Roll. All rolls were delicious and again, good for the price.

Lovely place! You can really get your sushi the way you like it! I love the flash fried option! This has been a sushu dream of mine and now I know where I can get it! The bento box was delicious ( I heard). My little one ate everything. I had spicy tuna roll and sal.on roll flash fried!!! So good!!!! Yhe spicy tuny was especially wonderful! I loved the both. Also, the green tea was spot on . Delicious miso soup! There is nothing worse than garbage miso soup. Raku has the most Wonderful Miso soup! I just wanted to go home and nap after. We were so content!
