Todd has extensive culinary experience and opening a restaurant in Columbia, SC has been a long time dream. Utilizing Soda City as a small business incubator, Rambo’s Fat Cat Biscuits got its start. The warm welcome of the community and continued support has kept this dream not only alive, but thriving! I got the special which was the green eggs and ham. It had a pesto, prosciutto and egg. It was hard to eat as a sandwich to go and wasn’t very good. The prosciutto was burnt to a crisp and was all together dry. I’m not much of a biscuit guy so that may have played a factor. I do think the biscuit could be better. Much of the menu is pretty much the same so I probably won’t go back.

I would describe this as a Spicy Breakfast Biscuit Sandwich on crack! It was HUGE! But so so delicious. The bacon was perfectly thick, cooked just right, well seasoned and pleasantly spicy! I added the scallion Aioli and would recommend that as well. Had to eat with a fork, but definitely worth it. Would make it a regular spot if I lived closer.

Their biscuits and gravy and the best. I’m a big fan of their blue corn grits with pimento cheese. I just wish they served their avocado toast at this location. They do several versions at the soda city market every Saturday and they are crave worthy! All of their biscuits are interesting and yummy. Great place for breakfast!

I submitted an online carryout order and was unfortunately given the wrong item. I ordered the friend green tomato biscuit, but was given a side order of fried green tomato, instead. It was tasty, just not what I ordered. The fried chicken biscuit and the Brie & Fig are delicious. The blue grits are outstanding, topped with some of the best pimento cheese I’ve ever tasted.

I like the biscuits a lot! Portions are generous and the prices are fair. It’s a very relaxed place. I wish they were opened in the evenings. I find it weird for a place to serve beer and being opened only in the mornings/early afternoons

I’d say 8/10. I got the spicy bacon,egg, and cheese biscuit. The bacon is jalapeno smoked and the cheese has ghost pepper in it. Definitely the right mix of spicy and flavor. The hash browns remind me of funeral potatoes, something different for breakfast. The biscuit is drier than I would prefer for it to be a “biscuit place.” I’d go back to try the chicken and pimento cheese or one of the specials.
