The ramen was great! The noodles being made in house from scratch has a lot to do with it. Danny was very attentive, making sure we had a great experience for our 1st time visiting this Ramen House. One of our favorite things to do while traveling is to experience local establishments and dishes, compared to other areas or cities. I prefer more Base to noodle portions, adding my own touches Spices, garlic, bean sprouts etc.) to the final taste, but Ramen Hajime IS a place I would visit again if I was in the Orange county area again.

This was the best ramen I’ve ever had in my life! The key here were the noodles. Hand made from scratch and taste absolutely amazing. We tried the house Tonkatsu and butter corn Tonkatsu ramens. Both were fire and everything about the broth and noodles were perfection.

Curry sauce is very good. I’m very picky about curry sauces. I liked that they put fujinsuke in the curry bowl. I tried their kale noodles, very delicious, they tasted like regular noodles. I thought it was very interesting that they have three flavors of noodles. Veggies used for tempura are good, no broccoli . I didn’t like how thick the onion, yam and sweet potato were cut. The tempura batter was really good. I’m very picky about Japanese Ramens. The tonkastu ramen was delicious, I think it had a peanut flavoring added. Interesting. I would have liked the eggs to be cut in half for presentation and ease of eating. We will definitely return when we are in the area. Glad we tried a new place to eat. Service was quick and friendly.
