Nice little hole-in-the-was place! The food was delicious and luckily there was little-to-no wait when I arrived!

A very very very tiny spot. Just a handful of seats! Got a seat around midnight on a Friday night. Cheers to being open at this time lol. They forgot to bring us our water but that’s ok lol. I didn’t eat a full meal. I only got the spicy garlic edamame. It was so spicy. Like really really spicy ️ I couldn’t eat the whole thing. Which made me sad. Lol. Because they did taste good. They also brought us a complementary sushi roll because it was a new flavor or something. That tasted amazing. They don’t serve alcohol here. The bathroom is around the back of the building lol. So be aware lol.

It’s been a minute since I was last in. But I’m glad I stopped in for dinner. The ramen was delicious. Broth was rich and deep in flavor. Chewy noodles with all the toppings included, chashu, bamboo, nori, egg, green onions. We had Tonkotsu Yamadaya ramen, tsukemen, Yamadaya bun and kaarage. So glad they are doing well. Will be back.

We love this place. The food is so good. When we come back to the area we always try and stop by. The place gets pack so we try and come when it’s less busy. The noodles are always fresh and chicken karaage is so tend and good. Even the California rolls were good.

Very small restaurant but the food tastes good! The 10 piece fried chicken was perfect! My sister said that’s the only fried chicken she’ll ever eat. I though the braised pork belly could have been a little softer. But that’s just me. Ramen was on point but I added some spicy oil and white pepper for an added kick. My sister had everything as is, not one complaint out of her. Service was very attentive and kind. Very few tables to sit because the restaurant is pretty small, so come early or be prepared to wait. I would eat here again.

I usually go to Umenoya when I’m in Torrance, but I wanted to try something different. The location is right off the freeway & convenient. Staff was very nice & welcoming. We ordered Tonkotsu spicy & the Yamadaya tonkotsu. The Spicy had a better flavor profile & the Yamadaya was much more creamy. The bowls were of decent proportions but bang for buck it’s the Yamadaya tonkotsu, You just get so much more. I would definitely come back.

The place is small but don’t let it dissuade you from dining here because your to-go orders might not taste as good.
