The Punjabi in me is so happy that there is a restaurant serving true North Indian Punjabi food in Austin area. They have one of the best (and authentic) tandoori chicken in the city and their breads are too good! We tried Malai Kofta curry and Goat Rogan Josh – both of them were made to order just how we asked and were delicious! Highly recommend this place!

We went for a Saturday Lunch at 1 pm and there was no rush. Food was really good and very friendly staff. Chili Nan(spicy) was very good, Ragan Josh (goat) was really tasty. Like the Chicken and Goat Biriyani. Kids liked the Butter Chicken.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Rana Indian Cuisine on a Thursday evening around 6:30pm. Upon arrival, I noticed that the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy, with only one other family present. This seemed promising as it suggested a potentially calm and relaxed dining experience. However, it soon became apparent that there was only one server attending to the entire restaurant.

Traveling With Spice
Last day we went for dinner at this place after checking the reviews, and we knew that it’s more genuine review. It’s a small clean place, they are very nice and they can adjust with your requirements. It’s purely North Indian restaurant, food was amazing, we ordered kadai paneer and chicken Do Pyaza( onions) & Tandoori Roti( reduce oil or butter on top of the roti). Everything came out so good, very much authentic flavor. One negative i have to point out is waiting time( but its worth the wait, they prepare everything after your order). If you prefer good tasty and authentic food and don’t mind for waiting for sometime, then definitely try this place.

Third time dining at Rana. The food has been consistent each time. My go to is usually the Chicken Tikka Masala or the Chicken Korma. The food here has been flavorful and balanced. There are different spice levels to choose from which fits a wide range of palates. The naan is fresh as well. The staff are nice with good service.

We tried at this place for dinner tonight . We ordered tandoori platter , chicken 65, Lacha paratha , naan & methi malai paneer . The food was very fresh & tasty . Glad to find a good north Indian restaurants . The medium spicy was perfect . The paneer in the curry was soft & perfectly cooked . The Lacha paratha is the best I have had in Austin. Will definitely recommend this place & I hope they maintain the standards.
