Update: This last time we came in, none of the food was very good. The steak tacos tasted as if the meat was boiled in water and then served with zero seasoning. Gross! The chicken in the soup was so fatty. it was inedible. Even the drinks were mediocre (which is sad because the last time we were there they were fantastic!) Granted, we came in later in the evening on a Friday (we were all exhausted from the day and just needed to grab some dinner), but that’s not an excuse to serve shotty food. That being said, the staff was friendly, and the establishment itself was clean.

We love this place and frequently visit! I’ll never give less than 5 stars, however, Friday night to go should not take an hour while I sit in the lobby waiting.

I have eaten here many times, and I am always amazed at how nice the wait staff is. The food is really good but they serve a lot. So make sure you come hungry

I have been avoiding eating at restaurants in general because they have become expensive and the food is usually much worse than what I could make at home. I had some hope for Rancho Viejo because I had eaten here a few years ago, but my recent visit was disappointing. The wait staff and atmosphere was fine. The food was lousy. I got Chile Verde, a favorite. The first thing I noticed was that there was no spice – zero. Then it became clear to me that there was actually no flavor. It looked like Mexican people worked there… Mexicans cooked this? My son ordered tacos but struggled to get them down. I took a taste and was surprised how awful they were. Again, flavorless, but this time a weird mystery meat. $40 after tax and tip. I could have cooked something 5x better for 5x less. Chuck

Good beans, liked the chips and salsa. Lunch chimichanga was tiny, small portion of rice and beans. Left hungry. Maybe give more rice and beans (wouldn’t cost you much and you would have more return customers).

My go to is Tacos Al Carbon but everything I’ve tried, is amazing They are super nice and very quick, they even have online ordering now. I can’t recommend Ranch Viejo enough. If for some reason you haven’t tried this place before, seriously just give it a try – you won’t be disappointed!

Went there to celebrate my sister’s graduation and I could not think of any place better to go. The waiters were very kind and understanding. They answered any questions we had on the food, spoke great English and Spanish and were very attentive. They had a great selection of food ranging from $15-$40. I personally got the Carne Asada and it was delicious. The restaurant itself felt very cozy. Would absolutely reco if you are in the area.

Great service. Vegatarian enchilda was good but bland. Sauce was homemade. Salsa ok. Husband liked it. I will try something different next time.

The people are so nice and friendly. I always judge a place by their fajitas, and they totally passed. The food is great and my wife liked the margaritas very much.
