What a very nice place to grab a bite and drink! Matty was so good to us since the moment we walked through the door!! She even shared a few jokes with us and even knows how to mix a good drink. The bathrooms were very clean and there was toilet paper (some places don’t even check so you have to bring your own wipes) We met with one local named Eric and we had such good conversation with him, it made our night even more interesting. I would definitely recommend this place if you are passing through! You will be welcomed there.

Our first time visiting Randy’s Fireside. Quaint restaurant with country theme. Staff was pleasant and attentive. Live music on the Saturday we were there. Ordered queen prime rib, as did my husband. His cut was absolutely beautiful, just what you would expect. My cut was not so pretty; it must have been the end or something. Just fatty, it was in chunks rather than a solid piece of meat. They offer prime rib sandwiches. I think that this cut would have worked better for sandwiches. I took over half home and trimmed it up for sandwiches the next day. I will definitely go back and either order something different or be a bit more picky with my prime rib.

Had to find waitress for our drinks, food and bill. We told her we were outside. The mushrooms had been thawed and refrozen and the fire logs covered in grease! Oil looked old. Also had to get our own tapa plates and silverware! Randy’s Up The River however, is excellent!!!

Pretty disappointed. Had our bookclub meeting there tonight it was busy and only 2 severs working. French onion soup tasted great but was just barely warm. The Salad was great! Two of our ladies got their dinner and had totally eaten before the others even received their food..it took a LONG time to even get our orders. I Ordered the Lasagna for dinner the taste was great but again it was just warm and barely heated. Even my hot tea was only lukewarm. Second cup of tea was served was in a dirty cup. checkout took a long time too. Personally I Wouldn’t recommend it. Sad….

The food was good but the service was horrible our table of four waited 1 hour and 20 minute before our food arrived and our waitress seemed like she was avoiding us as much as possible. Even after we finished we waited 45 minutes for her to bring us the check. Multiple times before our food arrived the table considered getting up and leaving. Overall it was a pretty bad experience

The food was good , but wasn’t warm when we got it. Our server was tipsy and gave us our drinks in dirty cups. We had to ask a different server after we ask our server for new drinks. We had to wait over 40 minutes for our food as well. I don’t think we will be coming back .

Very hospitable restaurant with good food a fair prices. Full bar with several beers on tap (none sampled during this review) and wines on selection. Furnishings cozy, including the titular fireside. Bathroom clean and waitstaff very friendly (many thanks to waitress Tirsha!). Parking unpaved directly outside, with space enough for thirty cars easy. In November 2021 the Cattaraugus County Libertarian Party hosted Larry Sharpe at this location.
