This place wasn’t bad to be in a small town. Some of the locals told us about it and we decided to try it out. The ordering process was extremely easy. Order your food and have a seat. They will call your number. I got the ribs, burnt ends, corn on the cob, and baked beans. The ribs were a little dry but they have sauce that you can use to soak it a little. The burnt ends were good too but just a little dry. You can go wrong with corn on the cob. The baked beans were absolutely amazing. We went to naaman’s BBQ afterwards and realized that Randy’s baked beans were better.

Such a nice little dinner. Service was friendly and the food was very good. I loved the atmosphere of the little cafe with a big personality. A perfect place to stop in traveling to regroup. The food was decently priced as well.

Great place to stop and eat on the way through! Great food. We had turkey, burnt ends, okra, corn nuggets, fries, and baked beans. All of it was really good. The place was clean and organized. You won’t be disappointed swinging by here to get bbq or anything else. Menu included in pics. I bet the pecan pie is great too. I didn’t have room for it.

So I walk in at 9pm, not aware of the time or aware of the closing time of the establishment. I did notice that the open sign was lite up and the door was open because a customer had just walked out. I get out the truck and I notice a young employee staring at me. I then start making my way to the door and this same female, walks over to the sign and turns it off. I open the door and walk in and another employee (A KID) informed me that they were closed. The food was still out, no one had the keys to lock the door, no indication that the place was closed.. I turned around and walked out, not saying a word. I will never go back.

I didn’t know this place existed until I went to New Boston .I live in Texarkana and thought Big Jakes was the best . The ribs are prize winning and the chopped beef is out of this world delicious. My favorite place now!!! Yummy
